Hey

I won a WCOOP 530$ ticket on stars lottery. Which is the best tourney to participate in? I'd like to just cash some $$.

So I don't really have much tournament experience. I've played NLHE cash games all my life and also PLO HU hyper SnG's.

Any advice is for transitioning to tournament thinking is also nice.

Oh, as for personal note. I am a chef now. One restaurant accepted me for trials. So poker has turned from a living to a hobby. It happened so quickly. Actually If you're interested, you can read the full story and some other stuff here: https://www.facebook.com/olegpah/posts/726041790745608

Thanks

crappy ticket to get, ask them if you can use it for 2nd chance events, if you can go for a 2nd chance of a 1k, if not you're gonna have to use on the 530 1 rebuy 1 add-on

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

lol,ive won the same ticket and did some emails with stars support.
You cant sell it for T$.
You could split it into several smaller ticket.
It does never expire and can be used in future promotions, like for example Micro Millions or Turbo Online Championship.
This would have the added benefit that you could split it into like a dozen or so tickets(in case of the micro millions) and then almost certainly get money out of it.
You could add money on top of the ticket and get a ticket for a bigger event from stars.
You could play one of the regular weekly Sunday 530 Tourneys which start at 21 30 EST and probably take 10+ hours to finish because of slow blind levels.

The main problem for me is,that the WCOOP events are taking sooooooooo much time to play.Like 10 hours or more per day, often for 2 days.
The best event if you still want to play WCOOP is event iirc 41 taking place on 21st September, the 530$ buyin super knockout tournament. Its NL,unlike most other 530$ events which are PLO/Razz ,and super knockout means bounties are 265$ each...so even if you dont finish itm you can make good money by simply taking some people out of the tourney.
This is probably the event i am going to play with it.

edit: congrats on the restaurant thing, nice

what did you do with the ticket?

I played the super KO,made 2 bounties for 530 $ and then busted AK vs QQ.
Solid money .
