This blog entry is intended to point out just how shady Blackchip Poker can be. I have never ripped off anyone, stolen money, ripped off an online poker room/casino, or stolen anything in my life. This all started when all I wanted to do was check into getting the re-loadable debit card from Blackchip Poker, the link to which is found in the "withdraw" section of the cashier. When I went to go click on the "withdraw" button, I discovered that it said "System Currently Unavailable". I thought maybe this was a system glitch, but several more days went by before I tried it again, and it gave me the same "System Currently Unavailable". The "deposit" section of the cashier also gave me the same message, (I clicked it just out of curiosity). I get on live chat support, and I spoke with some idiot, who I swear does not understand the English language, but told me to e-mail security@blackchippoker.eu to have the issue resolved. So here it goes:

"Hello, my user name on blackchip poker is ********. I have been able to successfully deposit in recent weeks to my account (via Western Union), but I am unable to access the withdraw or deposit section of the cashier. I was informed by blackchip support that I had to email security in order to request a cash out. However, I would like to know why the deposit and withdraw section of my account is disabled. "

----The reply----

Dear Mr. *****,

Thank you for choosing Black Chip Poker; it is a pleasure to be of your assistance.

Since your account's information has been tagged as “high risk” by other merchants and our Poker Network as you may already know, the only ways for you to deposit and cash out is through Western Union and/or MoneyGram, and both ways must be by directly contacting our deposit center or cash outs departmet and that can be done via email or chat.

In this case since it is a cash out we are talking about, all you have to do is let us know the way you would like to cash funds out and the amount desired and we will gladly process it for you.

Thank you and if you need further assistance, please let us know.

My reply:

"Why is my account labeled as high risk?

Also, would I not be able to cash out via debit card (your debit card), or by check?

I have $1000+ in my account and it would cost me $110 to cash out via western union."

Thank you for choosing Black Chip Poker; it is a pleasure to be of your assistance.

We would like to inform you that we do not have that information as to which other merchants have tagged you as high risk since we use a system that is used by several merchants to verify users information without disclosing your information. What we can tell you is that your account did not pass our security checks and that is why we cannot allow your credit/debit card deposits.

Thank you and if you need further assistance, please let us know.

My reply:

"Okay so would I be able to use your re-loadable debit card to cash out, or cash out via check?

I would like to specifically know why my account is labeled as high risk. I never did anything to merit being labeled as high risk with you, or with any other merchant."

BCP Reply:

Thank you for choosing Black Chip Poker; it is a pleasure to be of your assistance.

For security reasons we have decided not to allow you to deposit with Credit or /debit cards; however, you may deposit with Western Union and/or Moneygram. We can send you the withdrawal via Western Union or check.

Thank you and if you need further assistance, please let us know."

My reply:

"Perfect, thank you. However, would I be able to also use the re-loadable debit card for a withdrawal?

If so, how can I get the debit card?"

BCP Reply:

"Thank you for playing at Black Chip Poker.

Please let me inform you that your account did not pass our security check, that is the reason why your credit card option will remain blocked. We see on your account that there was a report from a third-party company on a credit card of yours, so right now your options are restricted to cash methods (Western Union & Money Gram); we cannot disclose or have more information about it, but the option to deposit with credit cards will remain blocked.

We already unblocked your withdrawal options, we received your documents that is the reason that we unblocked them.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or comments."

So not only are they forcing me to withdraw via Western Union at a $110 fee, but I also would like to know, what am I not saying that makes them understand that I am asking if I can WITHDRAW using THEIR re-loadable debit card?

Yeah I see no reason to restrict your withdrawal options since thats money already in the bank, there's no scam you could execute. It's the deposit options they should be worried about. You might need to keep contacting them and playing ring around the rosies with staff until you finally get someone who is competent.

I remember having to deposit via some method before being able to withdraw using same method. It may have had something to do with being able to verify if it is the same person. Idk, maybe this helps.

Why not just get a cheque sent? That would bypass the fee's you'd have to pay via Western Union, wouldn't it?

Yeah that is what I'm going to have to do, is get a check sent. The downside is that it takes about a month to receive a check, whereas with the re-loadable debit card the fees are modest and it takes 48 hours apparently. Still the above e-mail correspondence goes to show just truly how incompetent the BCP staff is. The final outcome of this issue is sub-par and okay at best. They finally were able to understand that I was asking about their re-loadable debit card and informed me that it is NOT a withdrawal option for me. However, for those who might care to know, BCP software is fair over a 100,000+ sample size. Variance seems to be standard. Beware of the rake as it goes to feed the bad beat jackpot AND the "beast" jackpot. 99.99% of players on BCP play on jackpot tables.

You ask them in every e-mail why you were labeled as high risk, even though they said that they won't disclose it. Did you think they would change their mind if you ask them 4 more times? lol :D

Also they clearly said that only WU or check. I don't see how they were incompetent - you asked basically the same questions in every email and they told you the same thing in every response.
