dubstep?

yea it's shit.

I sometimes try listening to this stuff, but I always break out in laughter.. it's SO ridiculously stupid, and loud.



and what's up with the obnoxious tetris sounds. these songs have 5mil+ views

i guess in certain clubs if you're drunk enough or on drugs and that music is blaring really loud it can add to the atmosphere. even though i kind of want to kill myself for typing that last sentence.

but it's more like another sensory stimulus like the strobe lights or whatever, it doesn't actually have any redeeming musical qualities.

This is how people get converted to the church of dubstep

My friend set up a website that became the biggest for dubstep mixes in 2005ish was even producing records. The music changed I don't really like the new stuff.

IMO dubstep is like any other genre of music. There is some good, some bad, and some ugly.

Goose nailed it. the song that you linked is pretty shitty, and lots of the dubstep that is popular or that people know about is just dogshit. You gotta do your own searching to find quality stuff and the speed and sound of the dubstep you like.

tbh in comparison with most electronic genres it can be much more interesting rhythmically
