Anyways these past 30 days or so have been pretty rough - between two thanksgivings (divorced parents) and three birthdays (including my own) I've managed to lose a total of 1 lb as of this morning - so I'm sitting at 224. I'm not happy but not terribly disappointed in myself, if anything it has given me more motivation to really buckle down and get by this 220 plateau
Despite that some positives are new PR's for the three compounds of bench, squat, and deadlift
Last Months 1 Rep Max
Bench - 185 x 1 (started out barely doing 95 x 3 in August)
Squat - 275 x 1
Deadlift - 335 x 1
Current 1 Rep Max
Bench - 225 x 1
Squat - 300 x 1
Deadlift - 385 x 1
Very surprised at this months strength gains, but I've been working a lot more on form. I think I will take a break from pushing more weight any further until I really am positive that my form is as solid as possible to reduce risk of any injuries or creating any bad habits.

I'm still fighting the battle with you. I went from not being able to run around the block to running over 11 miles.. The difference from where you are now to what I was then is always the motivation for me.

I guess HIIT with weights should be more optimal for weight loss no svenman?
But I'm the same, cardio on treadmill with headphones then just lifting weights is more fun and I'm way more likely to keep at it. Wondering what you think. And Dryath you can push through a lot without proper diet but its soooo much harder Ima struggling so much with that.
I need something fool proof really as I eat everything I buy right away - should focus on satiety I guess?
I have training late at night and early morning gym's that fuck me up physically plus all my self control I use at the poker tables |

Hi, nice effort and a great blog man!
Have you tried anything like Juice Plus+ before though?
Its not a diet per say, its just a lifestyle where you take capsules that give you upto 26 fruit, veg and berries a day and there is even a healthy vegetable protein shake that has 17 fruit and veg in it.
I started about 2 months ago, lost 4% body fat, not had a winter cold or illness since I began either. its unreal mate!
Im so pumped about it, you need any info from me just message me, can think of nothing better than helping fellow poker players feel better, lose weight and be healthy like I am right now!

You think you haven't lost weight. But its very clear you have lost alot of fat and gained muscle from doing the weights. Which is why you are same weight. You have to take more than just your weight when tracking your self. You need to take your measurements, waist, chest etc too because you are not doing a fat loss diet exclusively. You are doing weight training, which will, if you are eating healthy, should give you muscle, and muscle is heavier than fat. |
