So if he has 88 and checks behind on river after flush completes, you win 15bb instead of 100bb. So you lost 85bb.

I'm only half way through, but it's super standard to flat with big hands vs a tight UTG open, with a lot of hands, especially AK etc, I'm pretty sure people just don't randomly 3b always with AA, KK, when it's obvious they have that. 8% 3b range sounds like a range that has a lot of other cards in there as well, 35% bluffs at least.

This is all wrong, if you start thinking about all the combinations of other pairs, + most people will always bet their set on the Turn anyway, and go for thinner value on the river. At least that's what I think.
