Up about 15k since feb but month of may is being really shitty, currently around -2900 for the month and half of it is due to shitty play. I need to add more structure and discipline to this craft of grinding live poker, I'm playing for way too long, making poor decisions, playing way too wide when I'm card dead or slightly tilted and I'm not taking good care of myself health wise.
Time to turn this thing around...
Plan for summer, while working part time (25ish hrs per week);
play 40 hrs of live poker per week minimum,
end sessions earlier when starting to get tired, tilted, table becomes poor
get back to working out 4-5 times per week
cook 90% of food at home minimum
improve on relationship with gf, (spend more time together, etc.
long term live poker goal is still trying to average 30$ hr for at least a year sample

what stakes do u play? if its 1/2 or 2/2 u need to get to 2/5 asap, going to win just through rake.
if u can try and reconsider your sleep cycle. you can win pretty hard later at night when everyone's gamboling to break even |

If you want to improve things with your girl, you should spend less time with her. |

I essentially play 2/5 deep, almost plays like 5/10. Rake is a fawkin 4 + 1 for the drop, but the fact that the card room is like 10 min away and they serve free food makes up for some of it. |

Live poker tilts the shit out of me, I have no patience for it. I guess those of you who play it are extroverts? I'm prob a losing player live lol |

its not that bad when you get used to it, but for sure you need some stuff to pass the time like an ipad, book, or watching a game on one of the tvs. I'd play online for sure if i wasn't in the u.s., I don't have the patience for 30+ day cashouts and iffy poker sites that may shut down any day. |

meh I wish I had your setup. I'm grinding out ~$25/hr at cheeseburger stakes with no comps and expensive shitty food. I spend on average $20/session on food. Good for ~$500/month or $6k a year. |

Im only good at poker when I run good

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN
