Fwiw 2-3 months ago I've fallen from 4200 to 3600 3 times. After taking a pretty long break I realized I was playing on hard core tilt. I was still good mechanicly but wasn't contributing to team as much as I thought. |

I recommend a stop loss, if you feel like you are playing on tilt because of bad teams/etc, take a break after 2 losses, play something else more casually.
Also checking every game to see your mistakes helps shitloads, every game you lost and every game you won you always make at least one mistake, no matter what. |

Because of this blogpost I finally downloaded dota 2 off steam and started playing.. I can see this becoming highly addicting. |

I dropped from like 4.8k to sub 4k. this game is so fucking tilting, and when you tilt and lose games to play with people that are worse each game it just perpetuates and makes me even tilt more. |

lol yes. I remember when i was trashing battlenet/Garena with my brother playing WC3. We actually went to the world cyber games on a stipend and got top 5 USA on LAN.
But all the shitty kids who couldn't play the real game went and started playing nothing but DOTA in the custom game section. What a gay game DOTA is and all of the knock offs similar to it. DOTA wasn't even one of the better custom games out there. Footmen wars and a lot of tower defense games > dota.
