my main problem is getting enough volume in my city. i could go to the casinos, but it's about two hours from me, though they charge a really good deal for rooms if you play enough. (40 a night, could probably get even less if i haggled) i really want to also play serious online instead of donking $25 a month at 4nl, but i just don't trust cashing out. ive also read how a lot of winning players start getting table restricted to the point where they are only allowed to play on one table at a time and it can only be of certain stakes. |

The only way I'd quit my job over poker is if I made more in 3 months playing poker than an entire year at my job. And even then I'd ride it out for at least 6-12 months just to make sure, and only at reasonable stakes like 1/2 or 2/5 so I cant use some silly shot at 10/20 to justify the huge boost in income. If you have just had one good month at 2/5 I dont think you're ready, and considering what you do for a living (dishwasher?) all it takes is 1 good night to be "making more money" at poker. |

Idk Gnarly man. Live your dream.. If you really want to do it, then do it. It's 100% possible to make a decent living playing 2/5 full time. |
