I had plans to backpack, but its really hard to play good poker and travel at the same time, I had some really nice setup in Brazil, but here im struggling a bit because im playing on a laptop + side monitor with crap chair, so I think ill do one thing at a time
Im living with a HU friend that lives here in Bangkok, but now hes traveling for the holidays so im home alone, think ill just grind until mid january ( christmas and NYE grind lol ) when he comes back, and decide where im going next, maybe spend 1-2 months in Ko Samui or some other beach, idk yet

do you plan on grinding while at the beach? internet was pretty much death a few years ago when i was in Samui/Koh Phangan. beautiful areas but wouldn't want to grind there unless the internet situation has improved.

I know theres a decent poker community in Samui, so I think there is some decent connection there, but ofc shouldnt be as good as here in Bangkok

I played in phuket for a a few months in 2010, there was a decent crew of 2+2 degens around. Then took a backpacking trip trip around to the islands for the last month before my 2nd visa expired. I recommend Ko Tao, the tiny diving island. learn to dive with new friends, fire parties on the beach, it's great. There was cell reception on the islands back then, so I could be on a resort chair on the quiet lagoon beach at night with laptop and grind by tethering my smartphone to the lappy, getting internet through the cellphone. That obvs isn't good for big sessions, but its a nice feeling with the night breeze.

explains the 17k hands and the winrate, my bad, also 70%+ HU regs are awful as shit pokerwise, you should play them more and more until they quit you, (like you say in another blog : high stakes players some suck hard). anyway, good job,

Im still not really good, I feel like I'm improving fast and I can see lots of mistakes in good players, but I'm pretty sure they can also spot lots of leaks in my game, even vs some decent but not great midstakers I think I'm a marginal winner
so its basically a variance fest, I had a 8k swing last month and didnt feel nice lol
