Live has its advantages, and I dont just mean softness. BlackChipPoker called me to let me know they just gave me $50 for free to entice me to play again (been like 2 years or something). So I sit down at a PLO2 table and immediately feel myself getting tilted. When I play live I have to hide that shit because I dont want to look like an ass in public and therefore I end up never tilting and just enjoying myself overall. I also cant multi-table because I become fixated on outcomes of hands I am involved in. I'll end up auto-timebanking on other tables because I'm like a deer in headlights staring at table 1 waiting to see if this guy is really gonna call me. When I play live I get to be involved in every hand because there is no multi-tabling, so I never get distracted in that manner. I'm playing 2/5 games and sometimes feel like I should just deposit online and grind since a few buyins for me is an entire small stakes bankroll, but I know if I do I'll just get crushed or tilted so I might as well stay live. |

If players can't afford their losses that's their own fault. Man there's this one reg at my casino that is always bumming people for money and he plays so bad. The guy once showed me a paycheck from a sales job to show me that he has an income and that he'll be able to pay me back and in my head I was like "get that shit outta my face." He must have asked me like three times in the course of half a year.
Breaking even from live poker from only 40 hours of experience is not that bad either, I was terribad when I started playing live when I was 21. |

o shit i live 2 hrs from foxwoods. i go there every now and then.
live poker is a lot more about reads than "GTO poker" imo. The sample size is too small. You can easily play an unbalanced style and not be exploited. Altho I rarely go so don't listen to me. |

seems like live tells have a lot to do with live poker? my live tells are atrocious but i can't control T.T
i dont usually see ppl clearly tilted in live. online its more obvious, seems like in live, ppl usually keep up their poker faces. but then there are a lot more noobs in live |

I usually only go to the casino w/ my bro's (literally) after drinking a healthy amount. Then I get bored as fuck, so I drink more.
Then I usually lose.
Casinos are bad for me :/ |

@fira, watching people tilt live is a joy for me. i love it. i have yet to see a person not tilt, even the people who i think are sharks. i really, really do like live play cause of the physical tells. people are usually quite amazed at how often i can pinpoint someone's cards out of their range, then they respect me a lot more which allows me to bluff them out of more pots.
and then i have seen some really bad tilt that got people into fights and almost much worse. |

i absolutely feel you
whenever i play live and look around the table i feel miserable people, all sorts of kind. The ones who got no family and cant do anything else in their free time. The gambling addicts. The ones who have families but in probably a pretty terrible relationship with them. The underground ppl with big mouth and low IQ. Etc |
