well I was feeling really bad, shitting my self every time I was out of the hotel hahaha

but I think the other reason is that I'm too old for this type of party, the friends that were there with me are much younger like 22-24 while I'm 28, for them looked like it was the sickest party ever

the Phi Phi NYE was already too much for me, and seems like the Koh Phangan full moon party is way more "crazier" and futile, so I already wasnt really thrilled about it even before my food intoxication

my second plan was to spend the NYE at Phi Phi and head to some small beach at cambodia with a friend that its already there, much chiller place and with people in my "tune"

but now I lost my cellphone and 1k USD I think I will just stay in Bangkok to avoid more doom ( this 3 days trip cost me about 2.5k~3k USD total lol )

hmm im pretty sure isnt, in Bangkok is kinda hard to get and expensive from what i heard not sure, but on Phi Phi every single bar was selling so its was partially legal, as they werent selling any other drugs, everytime I asked for candy they run away from me

maybe its legal in the islands only during big parties like NYE or full moon party in Phangan, because I read a few people in Koh Tao got caught by police and police asked bribe, like 10-20k baht, police here is really corrupt so cant be legal

Be very very careful buying anything other than booze in thailand. I've read stories about foreigners who buy from dealers - then the dealers will even tell the cops - get a cut of the bribe money.

Also, if you're unsure about whether xyz drug is legal or illegal - chances are it's illegal.

just zippers, I made a complain at the air company, they said they would do body search on everyone next day, LOL

for example, some french dude was found hang inside his own room with his hands tied on NYE in Ko Tao, police was considering suicide, haha. a brit couple was killed few months ago in Ko Tao and they said it was Burmese dudes

damn, that's rough. i think about half the people who visit there get 'bangkok belly' because they aren't used to all the chilis in thai dishes. i remember after being there about a month i got sick as a dog for about 3-4 days, probably should have gone to a doctor but didn't, then everything went away and i was fine after that. dunno if it's the same thing you had or not, but a lot of people seem to get sick to varying degrees after arriving.

pot def very illegal in thailand, they made a bunch of major drug reforms in early 2000's because there was a ton of meth use. you can actually get the death penalty for larger quantities. it is more common on the islands though, in koh phangan i got offered pot and ecstasy from a bunch of randoms (mostly tuktuk/mototaxi drivers) but it seemed very sketchy, i wouldn't buy from someone unless you have reason to trust them. i heard the quality is generally shitty anyway.

Also Nick Pearson drowned under suspicious circumstances at Koh Tao. Terrible to hear all these stories about the island, went there in the summer of 2012 and really enjoyed it. Diving was great and athmosphere was laid back in general, actually felt relatively safe compared to the rest of the country.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for in a place to grind but there's some pretty awesome spots in Vietnam if you're into beaches and such (Hoi An, Danang) with low living costs.... Also, Ho Chi Minh ain't a bad spot for a city... The police generally leave you alone (sometimes fuck with you if you're on a motorbike/speeding without a license).. but generally these bribes wont exceed 25$...

The weed is shit but there's quite a nice selection of OTC pharmaceuticals which you can get without prescriptions( and won't face stricter penalties if caught)... Codeine,Xanax, etc... Definitely a much less riskier alternative if you're looking to get a bit mushy...
