Just wanted to share, that after a year, I've finally added 10kg (22 pounds) to my Squat and broken the 500 pound barrier with (230kg back squat). On the same day I did 225 and 230 and had to put all my soul on that lift.
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/s1opkQV1xGQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I've been squatting everyday no matter what for the past 2 month (except sundays), letting how "I feel" dictate the intensity (weight), mostly doing singles. Self-regulated intensity is the most advanced training method but it's def worth it, if you can totally be honest with yourself and have at least a few years under the bar.
My only limitation is a nagging small glute tear, which healed but I re injured it. (it only bothers me on Back Squats with 200kg or more)
Now I'm dialing the intensity down to let it heal, and will start adding very light 2x squat sessions and focusing on other core skills. Basically targeting to put in even more volume to build an ever more solid base to reach 240kg by the end of the year.
Both of my business (My Crossfit Gym and my Sports supplier) are doing great and should allow me to make a comfortable living within a year, I think.

spotting for squats looks so weird to me lol. i know it's standard, just visually it seems like the odds of someone messing you up would be just as high as the odds of someone preventing you from failing.
congrats on both the lift and the businesses. |

ye why did you only have 1 guy spotting you? Why not just drop the weight off your back? If you actually tear something or cramp up its mostly gg for him. :0 |

When you fail a squat you don't usually drop dead, you just need someone to pull it off you. I usually miss my squats foward, it's impossible to dump the bar when it happens.
You can dump a bar with someone behind you and it isn't a problem; you don't toss the bar backwards, it's you moving out of the way and the barbell going straight down. |

kinda funny that you run a crossfit gym. most hardcore lifters seem to frown on it |

Crossfit has been embraced a lot more by the powerlifting community. It started off as its own thing and got very indoctrination happy preaching a lot of BS and supporting a lot of bad habits. but powerlifters have really come around on it as they've helped crossbreed talent. And clear up a lot of the nonsense in the past few years.
GoTuNk. thats interesting Ive seen a few big powerlifters advocate just stepping out from it. Though I guess it makes sense if cant because you pitch forward. Typically I just use a powerrack so not that experienced with it. |

What DooMeR said, we are very anal about technique on everything but specially on the powerlifts and oly lifting. I can say with 100% confidence we teach them better than ANY regular gym around.
And Crossfit pays the bills :D
