You also don't have to just ask them to your place that was just more what I was into. You can ask them on a date at a later time as well. It's better to setup a date on the spot and exchange numbers rather than get her number and try to get a date later. But, if she is into you you never know what will happen. When I was at my "best" in this arena I found a nice niche that fit my personality. I had women texting me for sex. That was like ideal for me at the time. Go out, get drunk, have fun, be entertaining and just basically be a massive flirt. I enjoyed this more than the stereotypical dating scene. But, you have to find your own path. I have no real suggestions in this regard except to keep going out. Become a regular at a few places. Get to know the bar staff. Keep approaching women who smile at you. If you want worldly women you have to have a worldly life and worldly things. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Go to bars that YOU like. That YOU would like to sit down and have a drink at. It's all connected with the worldly life. You have to have the worldly clothes, the worldly places to eat, worldly things to do. Unless you find a chick that just wants to go to the ice cream shop and take a walk. It's really up to you. What do YOU want to do? What is the point?

When your definition of a smart person is someone who is unethical, it's time to reevaluate your life. Newsflash: not every profession is about profit maximization through exploiting others like poker is. Counselors and therapists have a professional obligation to let their clients go when they cannot help them.

One time I arrived early and she was gardening and told me to wait in the room. She comes in wearing a little red dress and said to me "Good. My husband is gone. We're alone.". So I'm not sure how ethical her intentions were.. She should have ended it sooner. Near the end I was paying to see her twice a week and she strung me along for many months.

Yes, that sounds like she was quite unprofessional. Sounds like something you'd expect out of some craigslist lifecoach. Thankfully most people in those professions are not like her. Maybe it's best to stick to clinical psychologists and social workers that actually have an office.
