I've been busy working lately and focusing on building my sports betting bankroll.

My goal is to hit $100k by the end of this year. It's feasible, but since I travel abroad for all of June and July (except for the first week of June), it really holds me back from making a good chunk of change during that time, especially since I focus on live betting on most cards and play it safe pre-fight. Hopefully I can at least make $80k by the end of 2024.

don't you fear getting banned on betting sites for winning too much? is that a thing or is it just like poker where they they leave winners alone?

I bet in Las Vegas. While I'm a long term winner with MMA betting in Las Vegas, I'm still betting relatively small in the grand scheme of things to be backed off by any sports book, at least for now.

Keep in mind that UFC is only on Saturdays, so it's not like I'm a daily sports bettor who is constantly taking large sums from a single sports book. I use 5-6 different sports books in Las Vegas in total, but I usually only stick to 2 of them each time I am in town because the way I bet is dependent on which book has the best lines out by the time I land at the airport. So, I could have money in my Wynn sports book app, but not touch it for three weeks because there are betting lines on Circa, MGM, SuperBook, William Hill, or other books during those three weeks.

In summary, no, I'm not worried about getting banned from betting sites.

From what I've heard the betting apps are notorious for not taking peoples' action or capping bet sizes to laughably low amounts if there is a sniff of being a winning better. The constant advertising of becoming some rockstar king through sportsbetting on the apps is so dishonest something should be done about it. It's impossible.

Poker doesn't always leave winners alone. It was rumored that Ignition was fucking with it's winning players. There was a time where I was just blocked from playing Ignition off and on for about a month or most of the time they would only let me play their version of Zoom until I just finally quit playing. In private games it's not uncommon for making it difficult for certain winners to play in the game. There was even a live game at a casino that would do this. I actually don't think that's uncommon either.
