I'm listening to Vivaldi atm and it's pretty good. Beethoven, Bach, Shostakovich to name a few more. Nature may be #1 behind true friends but get some culture in ya. Playing any number of these pieces with an instrument I would imagine is divine. I know that seems like a difficult to almost impossible task but it's healthy to at least expand your mind to possibilities. I settled for playing Radiohead on the guitar.

Dropping poker helped me expand my mind. Same with porn, sports, and red v blue political circus.

The smell of fresh rice, a blooming crape myrtle, a good book.

Just trying to figure out what happiness even is. Whether it's a walk in the deep forest in solitude or an art museum in Paris. A large bronze statue of The Kiss by Rodin. A babbling brook in a bath of beauty.

I know what it's not. It's not impulsivity or short-lived pleasure. Going to da club and drinking myself into a blackout. Has anyone walked from the Spearmint Rhino to the strip? I have. It's a lonely road.

I don't think I could actually live in the forest and I don't think I'll ever be in a penthouse in Manhattan so I have to learn how to live in the middle somewhere.

I'm glad you recognize that no utopia is going to happen. Most ideals are worse than God. What is lacking may never come to fruition. That does not mean it is time to give up. Certain goals are acheivable. The existing turns into The Lacked.

I was so excited to have a haircut and a skincare regiment about a week ago. Now it feels like a chore.

Currently re-reading Nietzsche (Gay Science) to teach me how to be joyful and have meaning in my life.
