I make the odd bad play occasionally, but i seem to be playing solid ABC poker, raising premium hands and all pocket pairs folding AJ to a raise etc. Cont betting flops folding to any action, but somehow i am losing buyins.
I'm running bad admittedly people keep hitting 2 outers against me, i flop set vs set too, people paying way too much for their draws always seem to hit etc.
But it cant all be luck, im sorry but theres no way im playing properly and losing like this its just unreal, i need to find leaks in my game, if anyone can look over my hands and point any flaws id appreciate it massively since i know im better than this~

I play 10nl too. Post the hands you think you played horribly on or think you should've done something with. I'm sure you're doing something wrong. I go on horrible runs myself but the more you play the more table sense you get and less idiotic plays you'll make (eg. AQ, ace flops, guy goes all in out of nowhere and you call... this is just an example lol don't critique).
Also, even though you're only a 10nl, you might want to consider getting poker tracker, I only got it cuz I want to improve my game faster. Then again, it's 50 bucks, which means it's 5 buy ins, it might not be worth it for yah.

Slap yourself in the face and get your act together!
Most common mistakes for micro players who don't manage to win are:
1) Not valuebetting enough
2) Making too small bets thinking they don't want their opposition to fold
3) Playing too much OOP. |

I have poker tracker its a very useful tool even at this limit, i recently moved back down from 25nl. My main problems seem to be in when i get hit by a setup with my AK and king on flop. I lose a buyin 100% of the time here since it always seems to be against deepstacked players, whereas my setups dont get paid off enough. My continuation bet seems to make the player fold, i sometimes think i should start checking the flop of my set but then i could be giving a draw a free card =/
i think i sometimes pay too much for draws too however i dont know trhe correct forumala for working out when it is +ev to chase ur draw, i understand it depend son the stack size of the player and working out wether or not you will get paid off if you hit.
I know im running bad in general but i feel i should be able to crush this limit. I recently read an article about "the myth of a the bad run" it was quite useful (i think it was posted here yesterday). I've been playing for about 6k hands so far im currently +$20 only. I guess thats better than negative but the winrate is far too low. I guess all i can do is keep putting the hands in and if im still on a bad winrate after like 30,000 hands then start whining more. |
