Weeeeeeee
I almost don't want to play anymore now, what if I can't repeat this :D (first heater in a month, feels so goooooood).
What kind of minimum buyin-requirement should I follow if I continue to play 26/21 or thereabouts? I'm guessing my old 25buyin-> move up, might be a bit risky :c

Wow 26/21 at 10 NL, can't argue with the results though. |

25 BI is good enough as long as you've got an edge on the competition and feels ok about it. The main thing is that you'll have to be willing to move down if you lose a few. |

I dunno, I'm getting the exact same hands as before the only difference being that before, I only made money from my good hands, whereas now I make money from really marginal hands by playing them aggressively from position, and then get paid off HUGE whenever I hit something since everyone is so tired of me.
I mean, before on NL10, after losing so much at NL50, 25, I was playing like VPIP 13.. I'd basically wait for good hands, lose a shitload to rake, and only the donkeys would pay me off since everyone else noticed that I played like 1 hand every blue moon and fold.
Now I can just build a completely crazy image and nobody thinks it's strange when I bet my big hands really really strong because they think my loose preflop play means I will play huge pots with complete trash as well (I only play big pots with trash very very rarely).
Honestly, blinds were killing me before because I played so few hands.. Is this the absolute optimal style of play for NL10? Maybe not..
Is it ten times as fun? Yes. Is it superior to how I played before? Most definitely, I was playing without any confidence at all, in comparision, this is great.
Maybe I'll have to change it sometime but for now it's working far better than anything I've ever done before..

u cant just go from 13/12 (what you are in my database) to 26/21 (and play it well) without a lot of experience and even then, it is not optimal at 10nl |

People seriously haven't paid me for a month of playing what you described.
And now they suddenly do? I don't think it's all a heater, I've had a ton of suckouts, I just get paid everytime I have a good hand now which makes up for the small losses I take by having to check fold a lot of hands after I cbet.
I'm sure I'm getting some pretty decent hands as well, but I was getting good hands before - I just never got paid.
Really, everyone tells me 'oh, they will pay you off anyway' .. Nobody but the total donkey idiots did, and I couldn't find enough of those to have a single serious winning session in an entire month.
I guess it could also have something to do with me playing 12 tables and focusing instead of nutpeddling while watching a movie, but I don't think I could keep my concentration up when I play so few hands and had absolutely no distraction..
+ I did have the TV on in the background now too (although I don't notice it). |

I used to be 17/14 before I moved down from NL25, so 13/12 isn't my standard play.
Also, yeah, I don't have a ton of experience playing aggressively yet - but what better place to learn it than NL10, where I have a solid roll? At higher levels I understand that something similiar to what I have now is pretty standard (in terms of numbers obviously, I don't mean to suggest that I play as well or even the right way)? Bleh, maybe I'll end up regretting it but for now I'm gonna give it a go, the worst that can happen is I lose a few buyins at NL10 (I have 630$ now and am technically rolled for NL25 but I'm gonna stick with NL10 until 700+ I think, I want to have a bit more cushion if I'm going to play Nl25).

Do you have msn? I'd like to talk about this some more (if you don't mind). Maybe I'm just totally entranced by how good I am doing at the moment (which is the first good run I've had in a month, s o I guess it's easy to get caught up in the rush). |
