Nowadays, peoples problem is that they prefer an empty praise instead of a constructive criticism.

You are playing bad, playing for stacks with TP TK like the first hand is wrong imo

second hand is ok

third hand your reraise is a joke and you know it. Dont fear, rereaise from 1.20 to 2$

Too lazy to watch them all, but you arent playing ABC poker at all, need to review your basic play

3bet more manly amounts, you'll have to get used to it by 50 nl anyway.

And like locoo said, TPTK is not the nuts.

First hand is quite badly played, what you expect him to call your bets with here?
Try to slow down a bit, there are no draws out there that you have to punish. If you play AK this aggresive on a safe board i would reraise it also.

Second hand not sure i would be able to get away from this if he's really nitty then maybe the check raise over a raiser and caller is a bit of a give away but meh. Dont wrry about this.

Hand 3: pure badluck.

4th: well played, you cant let them draw on a board like this to bad they didnt call you with something like 2 pair.

5th push it in yourself and suck any beats up like a man. You cant fold this to runner runner flush. I know the check allin thing looks like a flush but on this board after you showed some weakness by checkin you cant fold this.

6th slow down a bit to safe some dollars... you just turn your hand in a bluff here, TPTK isnt the nuts.

7th Fold on the turn i would say.. You should check your reads//stats here tho, his initial raise was really weak and the call after your raise looks to me some kind of suited connecter//small pp. With 2 others in the pot there is always a chance 1 hitted a Q.

8th I dont like hands like this. Im personally rarely convinced that JJ is good here but most people disagree with me here so Im gonna stay neutral.

9th: Bl quite a safe board to get it in.

Anyway in general: Dont overvalue overpairs and especially TPTK so much, its no shame to get to the river without all your money in with these. If you use pokertracker be carefull against the total nits and setminers (those guys that raise like 10% of their hands and have a really low aggresion factor). You should really try to post different hands then these especially without stats tho. They are quite boring to think about
I tried to help you as good as I could, mainly bc i know it is hard to move up in limits and you seems like a person that needed some motivation

IMO hand 3, the pre-flop 3 bet is too small.

I'd make it at least 1.20$ so some more money gets into the pot. 90 is almost a minraise..

Hm.. Off-suite socks..Last edit: 20/05/2007 17:19

Yes you are doing something wrong. You are doing pretty much everything wrong. You're quite clearly a terrible player who has no concept of how to beat the stake he's playing at. You need to take a long hard look at pokertracker and figure out where you are going wrong. Then you need to sit down and think long and hard about what type of opponents you are playing at 10NL and 5NL and what you should do to out-play them with the best results. There is a knack to beating each stake and you need to evaluate what it is for where you are playing so that you can consistently see good results in the long term.

I will give you one piece of advice.

At low stakes big pots are for the nuts. Opponents will only want to play a large pot if they have what they think is the best hand. You will see the odd 80% VPIP but even those guys generally won't put their whole stack in unless they hit the flop hard. You simply need to be playing smart aggressive poker where you almost never get into a large pot confrontation with a medicore hand. Focus more on taking away pots that are uncontested or that nobody else seems interested in taking down.

Everyhand except hand 4, was poorly played. Probably a good idea to move down in limits, until you grasp some fundamental concepts of poker.
