*WARNING* The following blog is my first negative bb etc blog. I'm posting it to hopefully get good advice, not just stupid crap like oh you big baby you know nothing about bad beats etc. Insult my play all you like with some reasons please! But don't insult me personally if you dislike bad beat discussion etc, just do the world a favor and don't read below and end up wasting your time (and mine)

Ok, so first a little background. As stated in my earlier blog, this week I am moving to DC. It is eating up almost every penny I own. I did manage to save 1k of my earnings for poker however, which has put me down to the .5 tables. So I figured I would just nit it up until I hit 2k and go from there. The poker gods however, are looking to make this a much more interesting/harder path than I thought. I admit, I am really frustrated at the moment, and since I am still relatively new to taking poker seriously (5 1/2 months), I also admit my confidence has also taken a hit due to these last 2.5k hands I've played. I would love any thoughts or critiques that anyone thinks; besides the fact of keep playing the way you are and in the long run you will come out ahead, because I already know this and want something a little more than that.
Alright so with my 1k, within 2500 hands, I very very quickly went down to about $600, and then forced myself to move down to the damn .25 tables to which the same kind of crap was happening and I quit after shortly playing there.

Whereas the last 6 months poker has been my source of income, this huge hits that I just took has me now debating getting a job when I move to DC, and just saving up for a br for .5/1 or 1/2 or live games. I don't really like this idea however, cuz
a) work sux of course, but more importantly
b) I know I can beat the .25 game, I've done it plenty before, and I should be able to beat the .5 game as it seems the exact same kind of people and ABC poker is all you need
c) for my own confidence I want to beat the crap outta any limit I play, so I don't want to take the pansy way out which is kind of what I feel like I would be doing if I didn't earn the skip through poker.

So below is all the big pot hands that I lost in the last 3000k or so hands. Some of them I had good reads, some of them were wrong reads. I'm hoping someone will go over them and give me reassurance or blast me with something I'm obviously not realizing.
*note*They are in no particular order.

Probably my least favorite played hand of all of these.

vs Villain with 85%vpip

My luck vs guy with 91%vpip in 100 hands (complete cooler)

Absolutely horrible flop play, hung myself - was preflop play bad to?

Any suggestions or just a cooler and nothing more?

This suckout sums up just about everything. Should I stop playing? I don't think so! I know I'm playing right...right?

This guy had been running all over me with lovely rivers. Main thing I wonder here is the fact that countless times I get rvr f*cked to the point I believe in it happening. Take a break?? nah I'm playing right! I will win!

what can u do, this is poker (#*@^$&%^#@$%&!)

How dumb was this? (nl .25)

I seriously rarely ever minraise anymore - think I did to single it out?? - what else did I do wrong

hand vs a complete nit - which is why I played it - had the exact right read - just a cooler in my eyes

how bad am I? 17$ seemed so ss to me that I didn't think this hand through

I should shoot myself for my turn play huh

I'm honestly not sure about this hand

was obvious I was getting to this guy - was 70% I had the best hand - good call?

How retarded am I? 14 on a 1-10 scale?

check this turn?

No need to look at this one really. Just normal cooler pre my KK vs AA with no love (not even any ky)

did I bet to much?

So I don't think I played that bad all in all right? Just mainly some bad variance? With a little bit of tilt of course. And at a time I really don't need it.
Thanks to any who actually made it through this blog lol I'm sure it was hell. Gotta run some errands, so I leave you guys with these two

Play better. You're frustrations with feeling like you're running cold/getting bad-beated a lot are obviously affecting the rest of your game. One thing I might suggest is that when you try to evaluate your game you must identify bad-beats and remove them from your analysis, there is simply nothing you can do about genuine coolers and it won't help your confidence to spend long hours staring at hand histories where there is literally nothing done wrong. You'll just end up working yourself up about how unlucky you are and it'll spill over into your game on the tables.

25NL and 50NL are a piece of cake, and I suck at poker, so I'm sure if you get your emotions under control and play your A-game you'll be just fine.

Sorry dude he Jason Bourned me. -Johnny Drama
