Recently I've been tilting like a monkey and everytime I do so, I've been losing literally like 1/4 of my BR. I play 50NL and just now after a few coolers/bad beats, I went fucking nuts and decided to play some sngs that were way over my bankroll aka (120$, 55$ and the occasional 33$ one). Not surprisingly, I only cashed in one of like 10 tries. Man I gotta stop fucking tilting. It's killing me........

as soon as u start tilting, run quickly to ur power grid switch, and flick it on and off... guaranteed method to reduce tilt

if you get one bad beat, quit for half an hour and do something else

or something like that, make a rule for yourself. get a punching bag or something

set goals and limits...

people who tilt have a limit before they actually tilt. For some it takes like 20 bad beats for him to start tilting, for others it takes 1 bad beat. I don't know where you stand.

My suggestion is set time limits of how long you will play. Like start for an hour for example. You can still play more but after that hour you have to take a decent break for your mind to refresh and forget about stupid crap that happened that gradually adds up. Do this and slowly increase the amount of time you play.

Also in this limit, make another limit of how much you are accepting to lose within the hour. For example 2 bi is good rule. If you lose 2 bi you have to stop early and take a break.

These work well if you follow them correctly.

i'm completely with you man. I had 900 on interpoker last night. Tonight i started off with some casino play (doh) and lost about 100. Then played some 50NL and lost about 75 - one hand i decided prudent to call an all in on the flop with an overpair to obviously face a set - and only reason was in my right ear my wife was bitching and moaning to me about shit which already had me on semi tilt.

Then i went back to casino and lost another 150 or so.

BR at start of night was about my highest ever - 3400. End of night about 3050.

I'm pretty pissed now (literally) and have just now decided to stop playing. In poker only down about 50 for the night. In CASINO about 250!

I wrote an email to intercasino about half hour ago and requested they ban me - probably a very good move!!

All this is meaningless by the way ppl - don't fool yourself. The money is stupidly meaningless and if you realise this i am sure it makes it easier to deal with. Certainly does for me.

I'm interstate on business next couple of weeks and will have limited access to play online poker so will be a good break. When i finally get home again i will rebuild and try once again. If i fail this time to break 3500 then i will very very likely cash out (might leave 100 to rebuild at a later date if i get the motivation).

Fuck poker, FUCK online casinos. Enjoy your life and your family - nothing else matters believe me. (pissed rants now)

eekmice - u gotta realise poker owes u DICK - suckouts are part of the game and nothing you can do about it.
