Hey, My name is Alex, I'm 22 living in Maryland. I've been playing poker as my main source of income for almost 2 years now. I started off playing in highschool with friends at my moms house. It was an easy way to convince her for me to have people over by just saying we were playing poker. Well one thing led to another and I deposited 50 dollars. And then another 50 dollars, and another 50 dollars. Then finally I picked up a few books, and I started making a profit. At around 2k at .1/.25, I decided to stop pizzahut. I was living at the Ocean that summer anyway with some friends, so it worked out. I kept moving up relatively slowly. Last year I did mostly 50NL and 100NL. I got my bankroll up to 20k, but I had nothing in my bank account at home.(so i cashed out some) I moved back home for about a week, and decided that I wanted to move out. It would be hard partying all summer and then living at home. I moved into a house with 2 friends and my brother. I cashed out down to 12k, and bought some cool shit including a 50inch plasma, tempurpedic bed, ect.

Today was the last day on the lease of the place. It was fun, but definitely time to move on. I realize renting is retarded. I should be investing my money in property that is my own. I'm currently playing 200nl, with some 400nl when I feel up to it. I think i'm pressuring myself too much to move up, when I see straate, and tom(along with various others) who started where I was and now are doing very well. I've only been doing 200nl fulltime for about a month, so I have to give it some time. THe money is way better than 100nl, so I can't complain.

I was going for supernova elite, but due to the massive amounts of drinking and smoking, doing 6k hands each day for 365 days at 100nl seemed impossible. I'm currently at around 315k vpps. I'd like to hit 750k vpps, but i'll be satisfied with 500k and the 5000 bonus.

I've never done a blog before, or anything close to this, and never really read anyone elses so I don't know what to expect. I guess if I make it big, it'll be nice to see my fr<x>ame of mind on a certain date.

Hey Slickster. I remember a post you put up on P5s about becoming a Nova Elite and all the bonuses you'd make along the way. I didnt post anything personally i felt like that was almost imposible at 100nl, even 10-tabling. Im glad you gave up on it because you might have lost your damn mind. Anyways, best wishes at 200nl and 400nl.

I hate all slicksters. There are like 12,756 on Stars and they always have stupid avatars.

Sick VPP count, though, gj.
