You were probably right I should have quit, or something, too late now. I took breaks but I guess that doesn't do it. I didn't run any better but I could clearly have saved a few buy-ins. I might play again later but I should probably just cash out what I left and stop it.
Life will probably be really shitty from now on, I just hope I die in a car crash tomorrow morning when I go to school.
I made 3k in 3000hrs of play, great.... oh and I learned to play a game I suck at... I swear this game made me feel worst than when I abused drugs(I guess I should go back to that... ok no). It's kinda hard to describe the feeling here but I feel awkward and shitty, every fucking thought is painfull.
What pisses me the most is that I basically never touched the money, and now it's gone, can't buy the new computer I waited so long for...
Can't focus, can't feel good oh god I'm so tired of being whiner and feeling crappy because of this game, even determination didn't work - I swear I worked hard on my game but this shows I'm full of leak. Tonight I don't wanna see myself in the mirror ...
Had no fun, hope you did. Cya ~_~
You don't have to say anything it doesn't matter btw I just wanted to let the shit out...

life tilt by royalsu
been there done that...honestly just try to focus all that pissed off energy about yourself into mastering a new passion. Life gets much better and you'll feel so free once you're not thinking about the downswings in poker. |

looking at your hands i can understand how you feel. i know and you know you're a winning player at UB 1/2 though. you definitely need a break psychologically though, and maybe moving sites would also help you psychologically (i think it did for me). |

One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hope | |

I felt like this once upon a time too. all due to poker. I haven't played with you but I trust Midian if he says you're a winning player. definitely, without a shadow of a doubt take a break, cause you need it when you feel like this
come back when you dont immediately get a negative thought in your head when you think about poker. it should be fun. when it's not, you rarely win. gl to you |

hehe you two are nice, I'm def psychologically exhausted from everything (also excluding poker), school and parent don't give me any break (well the break was kinna this week-end but didn't turn out so well)
I just hope I'll make some money back and finally get myself to buy cardrunner, those video I got are hella old.
Ok sleeptime. |

if you play to win, you will be very happy when you do so but very unhappy when you don't (as you realized). you can't always control whether you win or not, so instead play because you enjoy the game. if you can't enjoy a session regardless of the outcome this game probably isn't worth your time.
not trying to sound all 'holier than thou' or whatnot- just saying, chill out, enjoy the game because it's FUN, not because you make money |

Winning to buy a cardrunners subscription is almost worse then not playing at all. |

I know how much it sucks, but remember how incredibly quickly you went from just moving up to NL100 to almost having enough to take shots at 2/4.
You can do that again.
I was really feeling a bit jealous of how quickly you moved through .5/1 and 1/2, but I hope you will come back to where you were quickly.
As for your play, I know you don't think you tilted, and you probably wasn't doing anything really tilty - I don't either when I'm running bad - but it is very hard to not be affected by having big losing days. Yes, you had a lot of really huge setups, no luck and all that, and when that happens, you have to play through it but it doesn't have to be today.
Just leave poker be for a few days - at least playing, mass reading and learning and reviewing hands is probably fine, just don't play. When you've run bad it's so easy to get tilted, it's so hard to feel confident (you have to feel confident), and it's sooo hard to play your A game.
I don't know how much you have left, but IMO something like buying cardrunners - and I know I've said this on MSN - isn't something you need to have a lot of money to do. 250$ for 6 months will pay for itself in just a day or two.
And, it will give you something to do while getting your mind straight which is almost as good of a reason to get it as any other.
Of course not buying it and just taking a break is perfectly fine too. |
