Same thing happened to me yesterday. I lost 2.2 buyins at NL10 in 22 hands and stopped on the spot. That made me realize that I'm a lot more results-oriented than I thought I was. It's a good opportunity to think about why I play and why I tilt. I intend that someday soon I will be able to play through stuff like this and not tilt at all.
I've seen it said a couple of places that poker builds mental toughness, but it doesn't just happen automatically. If we can learn to not let stuff like this affect us, then we'll have learned to be tough. |
