I plan on opening up more after the new years. I'm playing 8 tables right now trying to get supernova and don't feel comfortable switching to a looser style while doing that.
I'll need some help with that when the time comes though!
Currently i generally raise first enter:
KJo+
22+
A10+
A8s+
From middle position I'll add 98s, 10J+ and A6s+
Late position I'll add A5+, 910o+, 56s+
What I don't do much is pound on limpers with marginal hands. If there are a few limpers I'll just check KQ, A10, AJ in the big blind. Also I don't like to call raises with like AQ - generally I'll reraise if they're loose and early position, or tight in late position, otherwise i'll just much it to a tight player in EP. Maybe I need to do more 3 betting with mid pairs also. I just hate getting 4 bet and having to muck them without getting a chance to hit a set, but I guess this is the wrong idea.
Also I don't call raises with tiny pocket pairs from the blinds, I just haven't had much luck playing them out of position like that.
I don't understand how people get stats like 20/19 - are they 3 betting all the hands I listed above? |
