Hrm. The only semi-competitive WC3 I played was during the beta. And most of the folks here are probably too young to remember me from my SC days.

There are a number of factors which go into determining what level one should play. Some players prefer to make slightly less $/hour playing lower stakes since it's less stressful. Some players aren't good enough to beat higher stakes. Etc.

I'm confident in my ability to continue moving up, assuming I maintain an interest in the game. Unfortunately, I don't have the same drive to improve at poker that I've have with other games / sports / activities. I have a hard time playing more than fifty hours a month; I get burnt out and bored too easily. Very few people are capable of climbing up the poker ladder [and staying there] without a lot of hard work. It remains to be seen whether I'll be able / willing to put in the required work.
