downswings can definately occur over 4k hands. not to be mean, but if you really want to know how you're playing, which i assume is what you want to find out with this post, then why dont you make an extra deposit to NL25 or 50 because you are clearly playing NL10 or some shit.

NL25 is the minimum level of where you should start to actually learn to play poker. Just keep getting ur money in good until you reach NL50 or so, and then you will be able to determine your performance because poker is readless/thoughtless until a certain limit and you are completely subject to variance. As long as you're playing premium hands (pp's, AJ+) then variance should lead you to higher limits. And for those of you who think pp's AJ+ is not the only way to profit at NL10, I would like to go ahead and tell you that i understand this so stfu and dont bother arguing.

But seriously, just grind to NL25 and then start learning poker.

And the variance NL10 part is completely wrong ... there is almost no variance at NL10 when u are a good player and find the easy money ... And how is variance expectation positive as long as you play good hands ? This makes totally no sense ... variance doesnt have an expectation ... therefore its variance >_<
