I really think NL50 is so swingy (I've heard and seen people saying that NL50 was the hardest to climb over while grinding low-stakes) so I am going to grind SNGs and NL25 until I hit 2k then I will play NL100. Wish me luck.

meh, its not anything but the fact that you just need to get better at poker. I wouldn't skip 50 nl, there are a lot of lessons to be learned there along the way. I wouldn't enter 100 nl with only 20 buyins as well unless i was confident that i had a huge edge. I would go at least never lower than 30

nl50 is swingy for you because you arent a winning player
nl100 is a much bigger jump

20 buyins is fine if you could beat the previous stake at a good rate

skipping nl50 = retarded

sorry but its true

20 buyins isnt enough. You will end up playing 5nl with me. PokerStars just proved to me you can lose 28 buyins in 5 hours and that's with getting your money in good and just getting killed by every 1, 2 and 3 outter. I got my 28 buyins raped away so fast, that towards the end, i had 88 and flop 282, and i was scared to bet beacuse i knew i'd lose, i bet and lost my last buyin. And now i'm playing 5nl because i lost 28 buyins at 25nl. I have 11 bucks in my roll and i refuse to rebuy.

Please dont go to a game with only 20 buyins.but when it happens, come find me playing 5nl (6max). You can grind pennies and cry with me. It only takes 2 months to build your roll back to $1200 for 25nl. That's sick to start over again.

my bankroll requirments just went up to 50 buyins for each level before i start it.
Just bee careful where you don't end up like me who didn't have a big enough roll.

well after two years of playing the 60buyin rule works best for me. its only now that i dont panic at all when i hit a downswing, ironically, 2bi for me is enough to quit the session, then play again when you're feeling/thinking better about poker. when you're overrolled poker is just sooo easy to forget about, even after a losing session. it is the ONLY solution for players like me who panic easily when running bad and tilt like crazy easily.

FR 50nl is exactly the same as 100nl. i think 50nl is even harder, people are more underrolled and cautious. 100nl has more aggro players who make moves a lot. lots of shortstacks too than 50nl, which is just full of fucking regs all the time.

lol skip 50nl to go to 100nl is like putting a petrol-dildo up your ass and then sitting on a campfire

the smaller the edge, the bigger the swings over a large sample size

if you cannot beat 50 FR you cannot beat 100 FR , period

and no, 50 fr and 100fr are not the same at all and i can speak from a decent sample size ;o~

50nl is the 'swing' limit, and 100nl is the 'running good' limit.

good luck!

The weird thing is I think McCain will win this. Im 100% certain Obama wont be elected and you guys can mark my words - Sheitan

The Huhu, fwiw i think the skill level at 100nl is maybe slightly better than 50nl if anything. A lot of it at first is just mental with everything being doubled. Ive played with you just a little and thought you were a solid player - maybe a little tilty. I dont think 25nl is necessary if you can just tell yourself to control the bad decisions.

And i agree. If you multitable 6+ at a time, 20 buyins is not enough.

Good luck.
