Today has officially been my worst session to date, dropping $95, or 1/4 of my BR. A combo of not knowing what to do in certain spots plus massive suckouts is to blame. I had 2 sessions today, one in the early morning and one just now, I was down 4 BI early this morning and went down another 5 just now. This somewhat motivates me to get better, but at the same time, i'm pretty damn pissed. This is a huge party foul to an otherwise very good month. Here's a small preview:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391654 AK faces JT
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391651 AK faces QJ
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391650 22 loses to runner flush
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391649 Probably should have folded to his river bet
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391648 Probably shohuld have folded flop
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391645 AQ vs. Check-called KK
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391643 This hand officially tilted me
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391642 Set over set, nothing wrong here
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391099 Should fold flop because I only beat JJ
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391072 Should have folded turn here, someone give me an excuse not to.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391067 Badly played on flop, this is the hand that started it all
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/391665 Not a big pot, but nonetheless frustrating
Today's session
Everything up to date, since early December
I'm blaming a lot of today on my game; It's obvious I still have a lot to learn. Poker's really really frustrating right now, it feels like I'm advancing at a snail's pace. 10NL is a bitch to crack right now, i've been playing 10NL for the better part of 3 months, I haven't been able to make steady progress there. I should move down to 5NL but by moving down a stake, I feel as if i'm going backwards instead of forwards. Oh well, I guess I have to put aside my stubbornness for now. Any advice is appreciated. (sigh).

I can watch you playing for an hour or so if you like. I'd like to have another crack at NL10 seeing as I never did much better than you are now -_- see if i have learned anything.
I'll PM you my msn, but might not be able to set it up for a week or two until my internet comes back to full speed. |

IDK what it is about 10NL. My friend Dooley (sirracksalot) had a bitch of a time cracking that stake as well so he built up his BR with turneys and skipped to 25NL. He's now more or less owning on 25NL |

some things ive noticed on your stats
- att to steal blinds is really low @ 22%, really need to get this up
- ur % won money @sd is fairly low given ur FR stats are 12 vpip/11 pfr. you're either running bad or at times you spew some money. |

just some of my thoughts
1 - left a comment already
2 - standard
3 - don't slowplay
4 - ez fold river
5 - get the money in on the flop or fold, and if you don't like committing maybe 3bet smaller? I'm guessing you weren't comfortable getting the money in because it was a 3way pot?
6 - basically no draws on the flop, that bet should've folded out most hands that you beat. he limp-called so he most likely has some mid PP and wants to look you up, but unless you have a note/stats that he's a huge station I would slowdown on the river
7 - standard
8 - standard
9 - PiS. rarely 3bet without AA-JJ and the only hand u beat here is JJ.. meh I guess it's standard
10 - easy 4bet man
11 - standard
12 - standard
in general try to avoid going broke with one pair hands, don't let the pot grow out of control, and don't slowplay
also, when I played on stars, the NL10 tables were really easy at certain days/times and a nitfest at other times when the tables were filled with regs. I just played 6-max during the times when the FR tables had no fish |

I've been playing FR NL10 for the last 1.5 months running around 7bb/100 over 45k hands doing 12-24tables.
Not the greatest stats compared to some of the crazy pros of this site but I can probably help you out.
PM me ur msn if you ever want to just talk about poker hands/strats whatever. (not just aimed @hubmaster, I'd love to talk to other microstakes players as well) |
