Well, I cant sleep its 5 am and I been thinking about this and I want some opinions or i just wanted to get writting down anyways

How much luck do you need to win a MTT? what percentage is skill and what percentage is luck? I mean you can play your A game going all in with the best hand and have someone suck out with 72o. yes I understand thats why bankroll management comes into play because of the variance. but what does it take to win an MTT? does the starts have to be lined up, does it have to be your lucky game and do you have to play 100% perfect? how often does this happen?

Why do downswings happen? is it a period of time that you just get unlucky? that your KK runns into AA everytime? or that you get rivered 9 hands in a row? what causes a downswing?

Do you believe in the law of atraction? (see the secret video) do you believe that if you have a bad beat the more you think about it the more bad beats are going to come? that asking and wanting a good hand real bad and getting it? could you stop downswings from happening by applying the law of attraction, and just attracting the good luck and good things?

bla i probably didnt make any senses i just havent slept in almost 2 days and im just thinking crazy in my head

let the flames come

I've watched The Secret too, and even though I'm doubtful of it most of the time I still try to keep the law of attraction in mind at all times. But I've noticed that when I get all in as a favorite and I'm thinking "fuk it, that two-outter is probably going to hit again this time" it seems to happen a lot more than when I expect my hand to hold? I guess no one can really explain it or prove it's real

Hello.
It takes luck to win a MTT, you have to get lucky at some point. Playing your very best is the only thing you can do - the better you play the higher percentage you have to win. Obviously you need to be good to win a MTT but it doesn't happen all that often. Even the tournament pros don't cash that often, play to win. It doesn't matter if they river you or not it's about getting it in good and getting it in pre with KK vs anyone is always good.
Downswings are more related to tilt/bad play than most like to admit. Just be confident in what you are doing and know that getting it in good earns you money, it does NOT matter who wins one pot if you get it in good and lose. I suggest you search this site and read Ketul Nathwanis article Ultimate Zone Warriors. Thinking positive and having a positive attitude is superior to whiny variance cursing downswing blaming bad attitude.

1- playing a lot of them
2- Being very good at it

Well i ve watched so many Tourmanet videos of good players.
And i havent seen one yet where the player who won the torunemant didnt manage to win at least one suckout for a significant amount of chips.
i myself played only ~ 30 Mtts ( 500people +) and managed to get deep 3 times ( 10%)

1st time i got deep in a MTT i entered a 5$ freezout as chipleader into the FT ( busted 5th for 125$ >_< I can honestly say that was all luck !
I just pushed every half decent hand the whole tourney and always won when i got called until FT...

2nd time i was 3rd in chips with 16ppl left on a 3$ freezeout 6 handed ( busted 16th after my AQs run into KK and i hit my Q on flop vs the 2nd chipleder)
wasnt too much skill involved either ... I just waited for good hands and value bettet them strong. I didnt get a suckout so i managed to get very deep.

3rd time i was 22th in a 8$ rebuy on stars with 63ppl left and got KK and was involved in a hand with a Top10 guy. -> if i won that hand i was Top 10 myself unfortunately his k8o
riverd a backdorflush with his K >_<
-> so the guy was Top 5 after the pot >_<

From the videos ive seen and my experience you can never get a good score in any MTT without getting lucky several times.

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)

seems like if you expect to get bad beated you do - I agree.

However... Thats not the case obviously lol, if you think it might be the case not sure it's even worth playing poker. (Obviously can't understand simple concepts like 'percentages')

But, amount of luck to win an mtt? LOTS. skill is important but lots of luck needed. Ket Dominated his GUKPT win but he won billions of coinflips and sucked out on some handies too.

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets
