Hi there o/

I'm the new guy here. Came to this site by being a frequent visitor of teamliquid since i quit starcraft some years ago to stay informed.
I play Poker 2 Times a month with some friends i also started a pokerstars account about a year ago. All in knew about poker was the hand rankings and the rules thats about it. So i lost most of the time.
Since theres spring break atm and most of my buddies went home to their parents place i thought that i might try to get some basic knowledge. Remembered that there was a pokerforum attached to teamliquid so here i am.

I got that $50 on Titanpoker about a week ago and played some hours at the $0.01/$0.02NL tables as suggested in the beginner articles here. Also followed the advice about the hands i should play and the junk i shouldnt even care to see a flop.

Got about $85 on my account now from those games. Could probably be a lot more if the people would buy-in with the $5 max and not with just $1 =/.

Some hands after i started i was ready to let poker go, because i was majorly pissed at some guy calling my big raises while my hand was AA, his was 24 offsuit, and the flop was A 5 10 all different suits and he hit his 3 on the river still calling every raise oO. But well, i sticked to the "rules" of the beginner article and the money started streaming into my account.

Is there btw any "pokerslang"-dictionary? I feel kinda lost in most of the articles

And how do u guys post all those graphs?

So thanks to all the guys who wrote those articles, helped me a alot on my road to homegame domination! The world is next! Well i'am happy about every single $ as a poor student

set - Three of a Kind with pocketpair in ur hand
trips - Three of a Kind with 2 cards on the board
shove - all in
3bet - is like this line bet - raise and then comes the reraise which is also called 3bet the next reraise = 4bet
HOTW - Hand Of The Week
xxnl - for example u play 0.01/0.02 the maximum buy in should be 2$ so thats 2nl for example 0.10/0.20 would be 20nl and so on
cbet - continuenation bet example : u raise preflop a guy calls u a 60-70% bet is called a cbet

yeah, i dont know about the grinding, its just so retarded, especially on titan, i was there and the variance hits you harder because people dont respect your calls, retards will go all in with 24 and hit full houses on the flop. i played TAG there for 2 weeks and slowly lost most of my BR, got a 50 on UB, so much fish there at higher limits, been playing 25/50NL and tripled my BR in 3 days. I do have some exp in poker though, im still a bit of a donk and my br management is on the degen side but with 50$ free bonus, who cares
