Ok, a little history first: Started playing poker in September 2006, but never took it seriously, made constant profit, but never really got over NL50, because I made constant cashouts.

Maybe I will be getting a little bit deeper in this later.

Since last semester I hardly played any poker, didn't have much time, I am studying mechanical engineering which is time consuming. And if I would occasionally play the game, I would be tilted very fast.

So poker was not any fun for me at that time. During the vacation time I had a part time job in order to earn money, it was in a steel factory. This was the most fucking, dirty and tough labor you can think about. I felt like I was dying there. From the first minute on (I started 6 am in the morning) I just waited for end of the working day. Enough said. That was motivation to hit the tables again. With a new motivation and fresh concept (Only making +EV plays) I was killing NL25 very fast (my BR at that moment: $736).

I had two exams, in Technical mechanics and maths, and after that about 10 days off, which I used to play poker, I basically was playing 10 tables of NL50, doing quite well.

After about 4 days, I felt like playing NL100, which was beautiful, watch this:
4 days of playing NL100_FR:

playing 13k hands, running at 11BB/100, netting in $2708. Quite nice for 4 days playing poker.

Well, today I took a shot at NL200 and failed horribly. I am down about $350, I was running quite bad, check out my big pot hands:

I was also able to win a few hands, but they were not so interesting, only maybe this one:

So quite bad, but I didn't tilt and tried to play my best although running bad. Let's see what the future brings. Unfortunately University starts again at monday and I won't have much time to hit the tables.

Thanks for reading and keep it real!

Good luck.

Looks like you just ran bad, I think you will profit in another session easy.

Down 350$ at NL 200 is nothing if you're rolled for it. I wuldn't worry bout it too much.

$350 at NL200 is less than 2 buyins. It's not at all abnormal to have a swing like that in a session. Do set yourself a stoploss and stick by it--some amount where once you lose you generally feel that it's more +EV to get up and take a break than keep playing in non-optimal state of mind. For me it's 3 buyins for example, sometimes 3.5.

Nitting it up since 2006

I am not gonna comment too much. But seriously, be more humble and dont think you cant play a hand differently, approach it from more angles.

I.e the 78s hand is a clear fold preflop, quite a big leak imo, a bit of a different thing if you have the button or so and are more sure to be able to see a flop, or if it is already callers in front of you. And some hands you comment like "uh what can I do?", but thats like always felting a good hand without thinking a bit deeper about it, like felting KK vs a complete NIT and he obv has AA, there are things to do about situations most of the time. Even if you played a hand good you can play it better next time, alot of the time.

The 44 hand you didnt really own his soul completely, he sucked you in pretty good aswell, making you call with 6 outs on flop.

Anyways good that you are asking for opinions, hence you got mine.

thanks for the comments zanjong, but i don't agree with the 44 hand. I had at least 8 outs on the flop: 2 Aces, in case he has aces, 2 fours obviously and 4 sixes.
