Well I deposited finally on Stars last night. Got a few questions, my stats, and some hands I'd like someone to take a look at.

Ok there are my stats, and now for a question or 2.

-How Deep should i get before I decide to stand up from a table? Last night I was hitting near 5 Buyins on one of my tables. Is that something I should worry about, or will it matter?

- Also what can my stats tell you about me right now? I know it's not nearly big enough of a sample size, but maybe it can shed some light. Not sure on what i should be aiming for, but I know for one thing I was playing too many hands near the end of my session, and it cost me, cause i went from up 4-5 buyins to my end result.

- Should i search out players I saw spew multiple buyins or what? saw one guy spew around 5 buyins off in like 100 hands

Now Some Hands(hopefully someone can comment on these for me):

Winners:
+ Show Spoiler +

+ Show Spoiler +

+ Show Spoiler +

and Losers:
+ Show Spoiler +

+ Show Spoiler +

+ Show Spoiler +

Hopefully i have done all this right, first time working with some of these codes and such, and if it's not right, fear not, i will fix it soon lol.

P.S. Already enjoying doing this blog, and bear with me I have an loling problem.

your first and third winning hands seem kind of spewy. you shouldn't be playing q7s or calling that turn bet. play better quality hands and don't rely so heavily on top pair and I think you will see even better results.

KwarK_uK: and if that was a bluff you deserved the pot for ballerness

You're right, sample size is incredibly insignificantly small, but I'll comment anyway. I don't play full ring and in any case trying to reach specific stats is far inferior to just trying to learn to play well, but even if you had those stats at 6-max (where you would play more hands), you're limping too much and playing way too many hands. Your VPIP (number of hands you play) usually shouldn't much higher than your PFR. If your hand isn't good enough for you to raise with, you usually shouldn't play it. Calling a raise with pocket pairs to hit sets is the major exception.

As for getting deep on a table, playing deep requires different skills from playing with a normal stack, so it's largely a matter of how comfortable you feel with it. If you have an edge on an opponent at deepstack play it's potentially more profitable, but frankly if you're still at microstakes you're probably best off focusing on learning the basics. Note too that if you have a 4 buyin stack but everyone else has only a 1 buyin stack, then your "effective stack" is 1 buyin. Both you and another player need to be deep for it to be an issue.

If you see someone spewing money, by all means follow. Free money is free money. Also, learning to take money from the fish is as important as learning to play solidly against other players that don't spew generously.
