Hey LiquidPoker,

My name is Andrew, and I am an addict.

I just recently turned 18, which for me meant starting my PokerStars account. I've been following poker for a long time, and like many of you have a StarCraft background, and have been a member of TeamLiquid since 2004. I know many of the basic concepts like BR management, position, playing tight, EV, Playing multiple tables, pot control, etc. So I've caught on fairly quickly, a friend of mine nicely gave me 10 dollars to start and even though I KNOW that I am not good (yet), I have been pretty successful and build my bankroll so that I can play NL5 now, since there are so many bad players that play .01/.02.

I'm a musician and am pursuing a degree in Music at Bowling Green State University in Ohio next year. (Anyone who goes there can give me a PM if you want to touch base) And as a musician that practices many hours of the day, I understand the value of practice and am a strong believer that hard work can reap any result one desires. Thus I will be practicing hard working on my NLHE skills in conjunction with my other love (Saxophone).

I'll be happy to see any comments whether it be help or words of encouragement.

Good luck man! Small piece of advice. Signup for rakeback, teamliquid has one. I use Raketherake.com. But more importantly!!!!! Do not cash out and keep building your roll. When u get to 1k maybe u can cash out a few but try to follow a 20 buyin rule and be careful moving up too quickly. Once u move up its hard to go back down adn if ur not properly rolled u might go broke

Also gl in ur music/college career and do not be a drop out
