getting a new monitor

dunno if i should go for a standard dell or whatever brand 30 goes for like 2560x1600

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/pr...&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=222-7175

or a 1080p lcd tv that is like 1920x1080 resolution that is like 46 inch

http://www.amazon.com/Olevia-747i-47-...tronics&qid=1211138564&sr=8-1

the 47 inch 1080p is actually like $100 less than dell!

o and dell fuckin charge taxes and amazon doesnt (until june 1st)

pretty hard decision

other alternatives?

More stuff

Now this shit looks more like a computer monitor: 42 inch

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11285621
$1k shipped and 1920x1080 resolution

really leaning more towards the lcd tvs since they cost less than 30 inch monitors with bigger size but less resolution. and they are actually on sale a lot unlike the dells

update:

wuz gonna get the lcd tv from costco but tax + non member surchage raped me for $137 so i decided to shop more

Last update:

got a 47 inch spectroniq lcd tv. lol no brand but good waranty + inhome waranty so ship it only 1070$ total

1920x1080 is the old standard resolution for 30 inch dells, how it works as a monitor im not sure, thats why im askin here

1920x1080 is a lot smaller than 2650x1600 just it'll be physically bigger so u can resize tables if u want and prob fit about the same on.. or u can have more tables around their normal size idk it prob doesnt matter much but i'd prefer a 30" to one of those tv things

The resolution is really important imo.
I just got mine 30" LCD monitor (HP LP3065) few days ago and it fucking rocks! Price was good imo (compared to other 30" LCD's) - around $1,480 and it was bought in Czech Republic where electronics is definately more expensive than in the USA.

Definately 30" LCD Monitor with high def. resolution > any size LCD TV with lower resolution

Resolution is vital if you are getting it for multitabling poker, i cant imagine there will be any TVs that are better than 30's that are also cheaper.

I personally have the dell 30 and two 20s, and love it

30 inch monitor and its not even close. There is a reason why everyone gets the monitor and doesnt cross with a lcd. If doing the lcd thing was just as good everyone would do it, duh.

I have my 30 inch samsung and you will NOT be disappointed in for throwing down a lot of money on it.

I have a 52" lcd tv. Personally I think its way too big to play poker on. I think 30 inch is as big as most people would want to go and much higher resolution, which is important. Plus your sitting relatively close to a monitor. With a large tv you would have to have some sorta setup that allowed you to sit at least six feet away.
