Ah, what a beautiful day! The sun is shinning, I'm up early in the morning, and today big O will get enough pledged delegates to pretty much lock this thing up. Deep down I have a hope that Hillary will see the result today and say "Ok, it's over, GG, good manner yo" and leave the race. But since there's so few contests left she'll probably stick around, which, yeah, sux. But maybe the uncommitted super delegates will put an end to this before June 3rd once Obama has the majority of pledged delegates.
Anyway, I thought this was pretty crazy. They had a campaign rally in Oregon and had a turnout of 75,000 people. That's fucking huge. I went and saw Obama when he came to Denver and the auditorium was packed around 8 or 9 thousand people. There were another 3,000 or so outside that they didn't have room for. I thought that was a lot. Having 6 times as many people would be nuts. The energy and excitment must have been pretty unreal.
Tonight will be fun as my GF and I are heading up to my mom's place to watch the election results together and celebrate. We started a new tradition during the primaries where we get lots of beer and wings and watch the results together. I'm looking forward to it tonight =)
As far as poker goes, I can't seem to focus on it right now. So I'm dropping down limits and just mass multi-tabling. I feel like I'm playing ok but then I make a stupid mistake. I dunno cause I haven't been checking my results at all lately. I just play a session and then once it's over I close everything down and avoid my cashier. Hopefully when I finally decide to look again I will have some profit in there, hehe.
haha I like this pic

always be discreet and hesitant when supporting a politician, otherwise you are in danger of appearing as a fool in the event that you prove to be incredibly wrong after the elections. Of course most people would never admit of being wrong, so they have to twist reality in a way that it doesn't make them feel idiotic.
I'm not saying you are wrong about Obama, I don't even exactly know what he stands for actually.
But obv you know too that decisions on such important matters can't be made based on who has a better image maker or whatever.
idk, it seems to me that politics and enthusiasm are two words that shouldn't make sense combined, not after
a brief look on history and the way it repeats itself (or not)
new shit has come to light... a-and... shit! man...

don't worry Dude, I've spent plenty of time doing research before making a decision. I didn't even like him at the beginning when all I knew was the hype. In January I wanted Edwards and figured Obama would be better than Hillary since he didn't have the deep washington entrenchment that she has. Then Obama started winning and I watched a few speeches and was like "well he sounds ok, but it could all be BS like most politicians" so I stayed skeptical for a while. Then I went and saw him here in Denver and he impressed me enough that I went and did a bunch of research via his site and news articles and blah blah to see what his stands were, more specifically. They all fit with mine (a few things wrong here and there, but the closest any politician had ever come to advocating all my issues) and combining that with the way he handles himself I became a fan. He's very different from anyone I've ever seen in politics. I believe he is genuine.
I made my Obama support thread a while back figuring that I was risking some backlash, making new enemies or as you said, looking like an idiot. But so far I'm proud of how Obama's handled himself and glad to show my full support. The truth will come out after the elections are over, but I think the chance of Obama being real when it's all over is much higher than McCain or hillary or any other politician I know of (other than edwards). Hell, I liked McCain for years but now he's changed all sorts of views to appeal to the right wing of the republican party. It's pretty disappointing... at first I figured "well obama or mccain, it will be much better than bush cause mccain is a stud" and now it looks pretty clear that McCain is gonna advocate continuing bush's approach to running our country. Such a fucking shame =
P.S. I hope you noticed and truly appreciate the way I capitalized the D!
