Didn't think this was worthy of a topic in low stakes by itself. heres a hand deepstacked that just happened nl5 on stars. Do you stack off here to this insta raise shove by villain?

I'd get it in with no info on the guy. NL5 players will do that with any ace, any 2pair, any draw, and any random spazz moment they have

As played call, but the mistake here was to not raise the flop...If his bet was bigger like 2/3 of the pot i'm not against just calling since the board is so dry, but here u need to raise it up !

Odds are exactly 50%, either happens or it doesnt Last edit: 21/05/2008 21:22

He would do this with any two pair combo or better, and maybe even AK/AQ. You're way, way ahead of that range. Even discounting 62, J2, J6, and single pairs (AA,JJ,66,22,AJs,A6s,A2s,J6s,J2s,62s,AJo,A6o,A2o), you're 77%. Madness to fold. It's even better that AA and JJ are pretty unlikely here. So, sometimes you're drawing to 4 outs, the vast majority of the time, *he's* drawing to 2 or 4 outs.

If you held AK here, it would be a harder decision.

Steve
