midian is a VERY good player but his game just wont be effective at the limits your playing
he's superlag and knows when to pick spots to open up/tighten up depending on table conditions
at nl2 - nl50 this just isnt optimal
concentrate on playing a solid TAG game at low limits but try to be a little bit more loose in position against other players and you'll have no problem winning

AND TEACH YOURSELF TO FOLD BIG HANDS WHEN YOU THINK YOU'RE BEAT

he knows where to pick his spots though and when to tighten up, with your experience you just won't be able to play the way he does optimally

focus on gradually opening up not just jumping straight into a superlag play style
to play lag you have to know how to play tag first and judging your stats you're still learning how to play a solid tag game

This is from when Midian was playing 25NL a long time ago, I think, so I suppose it might be more applicable to his situation.

Just looking at your stats, you need to open up more PF. Your PFR should be at least half of your VPIP.

2.27/0 at NL50 - wow that is some sick style.

there is a light at the end of the tunnel... (but sometimes the tunnel is long and deep as hell)

your win $ at showdown % is too damn high. stop folding so many marginal hands, and open up in position.
and know when to lay down your big pairs when you are beat.
i used to have the same problem with those hands.
and just be patient since you play FR.

You need to win way more pots without showdown, and you can start that by actually betting once in a while; 15% flop bet/13% turn bet is ridiculously low

I don't think those stats are ptbb/100. Those are from holdem manager and are just bb/100 which is twice ptbb/100. (so my ptbb/100 would be half of all those numbers there)

Yes those 25nl stats are mostly from when I actually played in those games when I was moving up like 2 year ago, and I believe I was playing some FR in the beginning and then made my first venture into 6max hence the 16/9 stats which i would never play like anymore.

Also I really don't think you should look at other peoples stats and try and immitate how many hands they're playing etc, just focus on gradually opening up your game over time when you're comfortable.

Maybe have a set range to start with like AJs AQo any pair KQo and a few suited connectors like JTs T9s in your utg opening range, adding a few more hands in the next position, a few more hands in the cut off and on the button and then loosen up over time as you're comfortable. Maybe you would add KJs QJs KJo a few extra suited connectors, ATo A9s etc to your UTG range and and a few more hands in each other position. That's pretty much how I loosened up my game. I started with a set range and then when I was comfortable I loosened up more. As you can see from my stats nowadays compared to these, I've been loosening up even since 3/6, where i was. 24/21 and now I play like 29/26 at 5/10 and 10/20. However recently I'm trying not to focus on having set ranges at all and focusing on what hands I should raise based on the people behind me, in front of me and table dynamics etc, which I have to admit I'm not very great at but I guess that's the next step.

One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hope
