good luck, I'm only decent/have a good amount of experience at Stud H/L(everyone is good at Razz). For Stud 8, the best hands are suited lowcards, followed by 3 connectors and 1 gappers(245) and 2 gappers(256) since you are playing for the scoop. Aces are obv good too. Don't play too many middle cards or else you'll be 2nd best both ways. Don't overplay pairs, especially QQ KK.

It's very important to look at the board and keep track. Immediately note any babies that you need and factor that into your decisions. Recognize when you have a boardlock(when you guaranteed have the best high/low) and bloat the pot. Don't slowplay in stud h/l since it's a split pot game and people don't fold anyway.

One thing i like to do is raise the pot on 4th street with 4 to a low and if i straight, gutshot, or flush draws.

anyone, quickest basics on playing HU limit.... in any game..? ={

blurgh. second. Didn't know what the hell to do HU LHE tbh, had one hand where i had top pair mid kicker and laid it down after putting in about half my stack cos he clearly had it beat... but oh well :[. Good result seeming i just entered the tourny for shits n giggles =)

i'm so bad at limit it's so different from No limit. I guess you just have to be aggressive, it's difficult. You can float more often and make light call downs and speculative raises. good score tho.
