I realized today that I have no clue how to play full ring anymore... seriously, what's the trick? I remember I used to be a mega uber super nit. Is that the trick? Should I just load up like 20 tables of full ring and sit back and wait for sets? I've been playing 8 tables @ about 27/23/4 lately and am very much in the groove of playing LAG poker. I'm not really sure anymore what I'd have to change to play full ring on low stakes successfully... Should I just go back and re-read grot's guide to get an idea of hands to play and be willing to open up to my regular game in late position?
Part of me feels like grinding lower limits might be more profitable and fun if I do the mass FR multi-tabling. But at the same time if I do that I won't be working on my game very much at all and I'll get into a nitty habit rather than a LAG one. And when I move up again I'd rather be in full out LAG mode.
Oh well, hopefully someone will post a comment with some good advice. I'm too lazy to go look up some sorta FR strategy or hand guide or anything like that, and I'm worried that if I move to FR I'll just over-do the level of LAG and spew.

fr is easy. yeah, pretty much you have to be a nit. but a tag, not weak tight, you really have to play aggressively when you play a hand. |

money won is twice as sweet as money earned. | |

I dont think there is much point into 8 tabling FR. Either play 6max or mass grind FR. You cant play LAG at nl100fr because people will have a hand more often, hence you wont be able to push people around often enough to make your bets profitable. You basically have to give up when any nit reg gives you action, people wont float ever so 2 barreling is much less profitable. Its cool to play LAG, but you need to have a really tight range in early and middle position to avoid shitty spots. Not overplay AK preflop etc
I think relative LAG at FR is like 17/15 , much over that cant be profitable in those games unless you face some silly noob opponents.

i mass multitable the lower limits at 50 NL and you just have to play nitty. Sucks but is the reality. |

aim to play about 15/13, with attention to steal of 50%. blind stealing is one of the most important concepts of full ring.
and raising UTG with a wider range then the other EP's is ok too since u will get a ton of respect there. only true monster hands will fight back.
and dont play AK for stacks unless you have history with the other guy (preflop i mean).
and use pahud as much as u can. u dont have enough playing time with each person to make good in depth notes that u use often enough. so pahud is the best alternative to get good reads |
