@Request: POKER goals |
|

Since i accidentally fooled Silver-z, who hoped to read about my poker goals. Especially for him im outlining them here:
Short term:
-watch an average of 1 instructional poker video per day for 1 month
-limit my cashouts to the absolutely necessary and get ready to move up (take shots etc.)
-carefully review my edge in holdem manager
-don't bluff off a stack early in the session (i noticed i have a tendency to do this)
Long term:
at the start of the year i set some long term goals. which i'm slightly behind on this year but no worries yet, stars rakeback also increases during the year and perhaps im able to move up. if i can't show significant long term improvement i rather spend a large amount of my time on other endeavours. so that's why i think its good to keep an eye on things. i'd rather not play 0.5/1 for years.
so i hope this motivates me not only to play but to learn also.
-like make 80k in 2008.
-100k in 2009
-150k in 2010

80k in 2008 then 100k in 2009 doesn't make much sense, if you make 80k in 2008, making 100k in 2009 would be en epic fail T_t |

maybe im a little conservative. but a 25% increase before/exchange-rate doesn't sound that bad to me. if we have any luck, the dollar will regain some of it's strength in the next three years. Bernanke expressed his desire for a strong dollar so i like our chances.
maybe i should up it a little bit. but i might have to start playing less tables on average if i make it to higher levels.
