Outside the store I work at there's a cash point that recently has been used by theives to clone a number of different people's debit cards, I only found out this evening that I was one of them. They probably have taken small sums of money out of my account and I've simply not noticed, but yesterday afternoon I had £4,700 in my account and tonight I had only £3,200.

shit life.

most bank have a policy to cover 100% of your losses unless you were negligent in some way

It's your bank's problem if people can copy their cards, not yours. Go to the police and fill a form then go to your bank and ask for a refund. Not your fucking problem if these vampires can't secure their cards properly, you'll get refunded 100% just like my sister in law did a few months ago.

Odds are exactly 50%, either happens or it doesnt

yep ive been frauded before on my debit card before for like 1200 pounds and made a complaint to my bank. it took a while but after like 3 months it took them to 'investigate' i eventually got my money refunded. i cant remember if i had to file a police report or not but its definitely something u should get into contact with ppl with and get on doing it.
