Hello every1, this is my first blog entry and I am happy to be a new LP member. I have been playing poker for 4 years. I began playing in a home game, 1/2 NLHE and then began playing at a charity event. The charity event had everything from SNG's,Multi's, 1/2 NLHE 150 Max, to 2/5 NLHE 300 Max. As I first started playing, I didn't have a clue! lol, I remember playing like a nit and only playing my cards, not even thinking about what the other player's held, lol, so sad! The more I played, the more I learned and began to fall in love with the game. After playing in the home game for about 4 months, I started going to these charity events and played in the 40$ 10 handed sngs. They were very, very soft and I began to get more and more confident as I was having success. So my buddies who got me into poker were playing a ton that summer, at the events, in home games, and some of em were playing online. I asked one of my friends to transfer me some cash on stars for cash in hand. I asked him to give me 25$, that didn't go so well and I went broke. I asked him for another transfer and turned the 50$ he transferred me into 600$, cashed out 500$ cause that was such a large amount of money to me and played with the other 100$. I felt like I was the best, lol, but I really wasn't. I ended up losing the 100$ I left on. Once I got my cashout, I quickly deposited 50$ and planned to grind it up in the cash games and sngs. I ended up losing it and got to thinking what a lot of ppl do when they lose, it's rigged! lol I stopped playing online for a few months, but continued to play and do well in the live games. After the next deposit, I continued to lose and redeposit a lot, losing about 800$ within 6 months, making 50$ deposits. So I stopped playing and said I would never play again. Yeah right...lol. I ended up depositing 50$ of my hard earned money from working stock at a jewel. I quickly lost it. I began to read some poker books and this is when I began to have success, I deposited 300$ of my hard earned money, lol, and began playing .5/.10 NLHE 6 max, 4 tabling. I ran up the 300$ into 1800$ within 3 weeks, ofcourse not going by bankroll manegament though. I was playing NL50 to 50$ sngs, running hot. I cashed out everything and began to play at the casino, 1/2 NLHE, 200 max. This was a year and a half ago. Since then I have been playing a ton of live and making small deposits onto stars, running it up to over a grand at least 5 times, but only cashing out twice, once for 2200 and the other for 1900. I don't know why I would never leave anything on there, once I hit big, I guess I jus never intended to play online for income. Instead I have been playing live at casino and charity events. So today I am going to set a goal and try to turn my $50 deposit into a good sum, but with bankroll management and only playing sngs. I am going to play with 30 buyins for each level, beginning at the bottom. My goal is to go from 1$ sngs to 50$ sngs within a month, I will also play some multi's to try to hit big, but within my bankroll. So that's it for now, I will be updating this blog frequently, wish me luck!
GL everyone!

just cuz u know its easier to read

instead of one big paragraph!

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

all im saying is, i would have 100% read your post but i find it hard to read with one big mass of text with no new lines or formatting... so format it and add some photos if u can (google images is useful) and it'll brighten things up for you and everyone else who reads it!
