Unless your marks were insanely bad, I think you should be able to talk to your school and try to assure them that you'll buck up. It might not be a bad idea to get your parents involved too, esp if they are typical asians like mine.

Any particular reason you wanna spend the time to do your masters anyway? I got mine but I was quite young so I had time as opposed to having to find a job.

Is a masters degree only 2? I thought it was 4, whoops.

I'm in English right now (which I enjoy immensely) but I don't think a bachelors degree in that can do anything. I tried to petition but no dice. My parents will berate me for a few weeks (atleast) but they'll support me in the end. It's just a matter of not going to school and feeling like crap for a year because I screwd up so badly...ugh...

..most important thing here is why you failed at school? school isn't easy, it take alot of hard work, and it actually not for everyone.. i unno, but no point doing it if you are unmotivated and disinterested

I guess it is too late to say that you should have stopped poker a long time and worked more on school but now, well don't fuck up twice, play shit loads of poker everyday for all the time you are missing in school. Guarantee you'll make more by the end of the year through poker than you ever would with english degree.

Unless you have to maintain an average of 80%+ to stay in your program or something ridiculous like that it's pretty much impossible to screw up post-secondary education unless your just not doing the work and not showing up to class. It's far easier than high-school and there is far more free time in your schedule to make sure everything gets done. Get a job for a year, learn some work ethic, and come back to the table to try again I suppose.
