ultimate quest, the beginning

I'm starting my blog to write about my ultimate quest to be ballin!

But first, I'll introduce you with my short poker history. I came here from TL.net, lead by curiousity, "why do all starcraft players started playing poker, whats so good about it?". Got interested. Espacially after I watched several episodes of High Stakes Poker.
So, as any noob, I don't wanted to risk my money, but really wanted to try out. Singed up for a free $50 on Titan Poker. Of course, the very first thing i did, was lose $40... Then somehow i caught up to $20 playing very tight shortstack microstakes. But such play can drive you mad, especially if you're new and still don't have the patience. So long story short, I went broke... Well ALMOST broke! I was left with about $0.5. This is where my ultimate quest to become a baller begins!

So you may ask "what can you do with $0.5?"
Here's the answer!

Yup! $0.1 BI tourneys lol! This shot is made after finishing second in 10ppl/0.1BI tourney. Before going broke, I already grasped a lot of things in microstakes, and I had practised microtourneys as well, so I obviously CAN win. It's just that, I sometimes lack the most important thing - patience!

So today is my second day of my quest and I'm glad to show you the results! A whooping $0.5 for a 1st place in same tourney! I've got a f*cking dolla now!!!

This tournament was really nerve-wracking, as I, being one of 4ppl left, was almost out with 500chips (BB=200), but my desperate all-in was called by the chip leader and I finally got lucky. Little by little rebuilding my way to top, I could finally feel the relief, when i had 13k vs 2k chips.

-----------------

So now, my friends, here I will ask for your guidance as to what would be a better way to complete my quest!

I will consider my quest as finished, when I reach $1000. Then I will start playing poker

So my plan should be to play nanotourneys till i reach $5? $10? What should I do then?

And I also wanted to expand my knowledge by asking some simple questions:

Is overpair - a pocket pair that is higher that any card on the flop?

Is underpair - a pocket pair that is lower than the highest card on the flop?

What is "aggro"?

Ok, that's about it. Till next time and I hope there will be such! Wish me luck! >.<

overpair - pocket pair higher than highest card on flop. eg: 88 on 245 board
underpair - pocket pair lower than lowest card on board. eg: 88 on TJK board
aggro - an aggressive player, not checking/calling much, always betting/raising etc

lol this will be epic if you pull it off.
keep balling the tourneys till you have enough for a couple of 100bb buy-ins at NL2 (1c2c cash games), then play tight and run good. you might get up to a comfortable position. its gonna be a looong hard grind (it would be normal to take month before you even beat NL2)
read articles on LP and also here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthread.php?t=98125

convince someone round here that you are dedicated enough, and they might look over your hands. not me though 8D my noob coaching hours are already full
any of the above posters would be good candidates
