Yeah Jon Stewart awarded J-Boy "Dick move of the Week" not because he ripped on Obama, but because he smeared Paris Hilton on that commercial. Paris Hilton's parents contributed the maximum amount of money allowable by individual contribution to J-Boys campaign. Oops! lol!

I know you're captain political arguments and all, but you really don't think the Repub's run a clearly dirty campaign?

It seems to be the trend the last 15 years... They just smear nonsense and focus on their opponents, rather than forwarding their own agenda.

That's what I gather simply from watching the news. I'm not super-informed, but it seems every McCain ad is more focused on bashing Obama than explaining anything I'd find noteworthy or the least bit informative about the GOP.

I realize my first post was pretty jackassy, but I really just meant it as a playful jab. Im long since done arguing on this board after all the Ron Paul people, but I'll suffice to say that we've seen just as shady campaign policies from Obama, but I suppose that's what politics have come to.

Make no mistake, I don't endorse McCain and will probably vote for Obama, but to say that the republicans are the only ones that run a dirty campaign is just short-sighted.

I'm not arguing against you here, I'm honestly curious to see the dirty campaigning that Obama has done on McCain. I personally haven't run across anything bad so far. Well nothing that made me gag like some of the recent McCain stuff. But I know I don't see everything. So this isn't a challenge or anything, but a request of a favor for you to point me to the attack ads/smear campaigns Obama has launched on McCain.

Overall if it had to be volume I have a hard time seeing how Obama has the higher volume, cause McCain's is pretty big right now and Obama's I have a hard time finding.

Let me clarify - I'm talking about smear campaigning and attack ads. As far as attack ads go I've only seen 2 from Obama which were very light and seemed to spawn as response ads to McCain attacks. As far as smear campaigning, I haven't seen anything from Obama. By smear campaigning I mean like this massive email smear campaign spreading rumors saying Obama is a muslim, doesn't say the pledge of allegiance, is a racist, wasn't born in the USA, swore in on the koran, and that he's going to raise ALL of our taxes. There's more but I don't need to list them all. By smear campaigning I mean spreading lies and rumors to make the other person look worse rather than talking about policy differences and plans to deal with the issues.

Also, check out Snopes.com (debunkers of false email chains). On the left you'll see Obama is #1 on their list of Urban legends and McCain is only #5. Check their pages - Obama's got a lot of fucking ridiculous lies out about him, many more than mccain.

And the funny thing is that I'm an Obama supporter and I've never received any of the smears listed on snopes about McCain, but I have received the smears about Obama from my Republican friends.

So overall from what I've seen smears against Obama are high, against McCain are low. Attack ads against Obama are high, against McCain quite low.
