by the sounds of it, you have a very long way to go with poker.

i advice you to buy some books on the game / limit you are playing, and study them and learn the basics (ABC poker, as well as pot odds / implied odds / reverse implied odds)

After learning this, re-deposit $40 on NL2 and play with $2 on each table (100big blinds), learn to multi-table, incorporate what you learned, and to play like an uber nit until you reach NL100 where you can start to play a much wider variety of styles, depending on the situation.

Good luck

think of the money you lost as if you invested to learn the game.. well i hope you have learnt something! but have to get a job to redeposit or build from scratch imo

my advice is better than most, I've learned how to be a winning grinder, I do things my own way though.

Then, when u hit $100, play them all at the same time in a NL100 table. If u double up, join a NL200 table and so on until you reach NL1000 and lose it all. Then, redeposit $40 and try again

Good luck
