I really want to play and I really want to get good at this game, but it is taking forever. I beat nl2, had a roll of 250 and was ready to move onto nl10. That was 4 months ago, now I'm back grinding nl2 and running like garbage. Yeah I'm playing like shit and I know my leaks, but they don't consist of stacking off deep with marginal hands. My leaks cost me ~$2 a session, yet somehow I always manage to break even or down and quit after less than 1k hands. I'm sick of watching my premiums be destroyed. I know it will end and I'll get through it, I also know that I'm bad at this game and if I was better how I'm running wouldn't matter at these stakes. However, I suck at poker. I know how to beat nl2, I can play ABC poker decently, and I know I should be making ~$20 a day if I played as long as I'd like to after work. The only problem is I come home only to run into setup after setup after suckout. Yeah, some of my hands hold, unfortunately I have not had a hand hold for over half a buyin in the last two weeks.

FML, I want to play this game and I want to be good at it, but right now I just don't have the drive to do it.

Nowadays I don't get too emotional over running bad for a while. (even tho I still have to face a REAL test)

I just say to myself, "I'm better than this, I'll be playing NL25 very soon anyway and this is just something I have to do before I take my next step."

Fuck it all, fuck the bad beats, they can't stop you from progressing coz YOU HAVE THE POWAH!!

Have an opinion about what I said? please say it

sorry to dissappoint u but if u cant beat 10nl or even 2nl over large hand sample size ur leaks are far greater than u think and its not the way u run but the way u play

Please read my post before telling me I'm retarded. I've been playing less than 1k hands a day and playing 2-3 times a week. This has gone on for ~3 weeks. By that math, even with rounding up its a 9k stretch. Last I checked it was normal to run bad for much longer than 9k hands.

And to think that I'm not trying to focus on fixing leaks is fucking ignorant.

games are tougher now, thus if u have little to no edge, variance will be unfortunately bigger and downswings a lot longer
