I've been running so bad lately, it all started out at my shot on 50NL and it just keeps on going. I already cashed 300$ so I got my initial deposit and a little extra already out of my roll so I am basically freerolling. Still it's so annoying to just not catch any break and keeping getting sucked out on.
In my last session today I got a set crushed by a runner Flush (ATo on 983hh board, I had 99) and another overpair killed by a flopped flushdraw (I know, kind of standard) and got it in on the turn and got there on the river. And after those beats tonight I just started tilt shoving for my last orbit on every table and I even won back two buy-ins that way. When you think of it, it's probably hilarious...
Here's my graph:
Notice the last part where I started tilt shoving and insta-won 2 buy-ins...
I know, all whine, whine, whine, so standard and crap like that... True but this has been going on for a solid two weeks now and it feels like it's never going to end... I know, more whine, whine but writing it down helps me a little bit so I thought might as well write it down here and let people get a laugh out of it, right ??
Btw, I am going to make a video of myself playing very soon (not now though because I am totally NOT in the right mood to play a good solid game right now, note: the tilt shoving) so it'd be really cool if you guys would have a look at it and note some leaks once I got it made.
Well, I hope you all have more luck on tables, later, Kilay

look in my bigger graphs, this crap can easily happen for 10k hands sometimes even more
realize this and hopefully keep your head up
it's real easy to let negativity grab you and sink you
if you have the determination and stay honest with yourself when you look for leaks and weaknesses you may have in your game you will come out ahead and stronger
know that things happen for a reason and poker will test anyone that plays it for awhile
and I do mean anyone |

Take a couple days off poker. Spend some of the money you cashed out, go to a bar, buy a new game or new movie, hang out with friends etc. Read a self-help/motivational book to get your head straight. Go and play some sports, or workout or something.
Then come back to poker, reduce the number of tables you play and focus. Accept the fact that you are running bad right now, and really there is nothing you can do about it except play your best. Don't try to force the issue (I've made this mistake many many times and gone broke every single time) and realize that another win streak will come over time. If you keep running bad for a long time (and believe me it's possible, even somewhat likely that you will) move down. Treat it as a learning experience, because really that's what you are doing right now, you're still learning the game. You even said it yourself, you're freerolling right now, consider yourself very fortunate to be in this position!
The absolute worst thing you can do right now is start tilt shoving your stack randomly or playing hu neilly style to try to win it back. Get your head straight, focus, and most importantly, check your ego before you start playing again. Remember, even though you might be better than the fish you're playing against that doesn't mean you'll ALWAYS win. Let them have their illusion of winning, that's what keeps them playing, and that's what makes them tilt when it stops. Don't become one of them, even temporarily. |

I really appreciate your guys comments and I decided to take this entire weekend off from poker and luckily one of my buddies is having his birthday so I'll probably just have a great time tonight and get drunk and, yeah, the tilt shoving is quite bad and that's why I insta-quit when I did 3-4 times and luckily I even won those, lol.
Anyways, I would to thank tloapc. Your prob bet is REALLY inspiring me and I hope to grind back some later this week and just keep my head straight and play a solid game. Because I am sure when the bad run started, some bad play got mixed in because it's just hard to stay playing your absolute A-game when you are running bad.
