During current Hold'em session you were dealt 212 hands and saw flop:
- 34 out of 40 times while in big blind (85%)
- 36 out of 43 times while in small blind (83%)
- 92 out of 129 times in other positions (71%)
- a total of 162 out of 212 (76%)
Pots won at showdown - 27 of 56 (48%)
Pots won without showdown - 11
How does that look? I hit 10k chips around my 180th hand and just trailed around there.
I know I'm pretty bad and I read some of the Poker articles. I was watching movies while playing so my full attention wasn't on the game, and that must really be bad for the position. Whether I bet or folded was not affected by who had the button. But I think I did alright.
Is 200+ hands a lot or do you guys crunch that in a day?

200+ hands is nothing really, and play money sucks you should try and get off of it as soon as possible, as soon as u know the rules of the game etc.
from those stats you posted it look as if youre playing /way/ too loose, you need to nit it up in these noob stakes, there is a decent article on this site about good ranges to play as a beginner |

ok for play money, literally dont play any hand unless its KK or AA and go all in preflop, you'll get like 4 callers and quadruple up.
rinse and repeat.
You don't play play money like real poker at all. Its entirely different. So much harder with real money.
edit: I average about 1,000 hands a session, and i play about 2 sessions a day. maybe 3 hrs of playing a day |

I don't turn 18 until four months.
Is it bad to do play money? Is it better if I don't play at all?
I've been reading some of the hands people play and I understand it plays a bit different.

lol i played poker when i was 15 for real money on partypoker, made like $110 without knowing how or why, then i lost it all through that promotion that TL.net was doing.
What I recommend is play play money until you reach 1 million then sell it for $10. You will have a small bankroll to start grinding NL2 which from there, can start really playing poker. |

I'm heavily considering it...
But if I do receive a phone call I do not sound like I am 18.
If I am asked age verification I might be in trouble haha. By the way how do you exchange the 1 million for $10 dollars? Does PokerStars manually exchange it for you, or do people actually buy it from you? But anyhow I am using my fathers information on my account and I will change it to mine when I become 18. My parents really do not condone this so everything has to be very subtle. Basically if they find out I'm playing poker for money my father will rip me a new asshole. So at the moment I am not depositing or playing for money to avoid any possible calls, verifications, etc. - or any trouble.
Any personal experiences people can share with me? How do you do it?
Is it easier to get away with because your parents really do not care or what?
Does Poker Stars really go out of their way to make sure no one under 18 is playing the game or don't they really care? |

So I guess using fake information for myself is a better decision than using real information for my father?
I might go with it. |

oh my god, my dad went ballistic when he found out i was playing poker when i was 15 (told him when i turned 18). He's an accountant and works for a giant accounting firm as a Partner. His job would be fucked if they found out, especially since i didn't report my winnings, but since i actually didn't win anything, it was all good.
Anyways, now that I'm 18 and I filed my taxes last year its all good between us.
But yeah, Pokerstars themselves don't exchange it (they're against it) but I used http://www.bigbadbullets.com/index.ph...SSID=154780730df4ea5a1d4b822976210c54 to sell my chips
I think they sold for $11 or something, I sold 3 million and got like $30. If you wan't I'm willing to teach you NL2 once u get the bankroll. I'm up like $300 on NL2 and about $400 on NL5, I'm still working on NL10.
They only call you to verify you are who you say you are when you deposit money, they don't when you transfer funds (which is what will happen if u sell ur play chips). Maybe they will if you withdraw. IDK.
I played like 5 min today on playchips and I was up 150k. It's real easy, I had AA and went all-in, everyone but 1 person called with horrible hands such as J7, 10 2, etc... It's real easy money, wait for your cards and you win money. This is generally how u beat NL2 as well, of course you don't shove (go all-in) preflop, but they call you with anything and everything, at real games, you can widen your hand range, but for play money, just play super tight (it can get really boring, watch some SC vods or something, it helps pass time).
Give me a PM and I'm willing to help you out if u need it. |
