I post blog entries so infrequently that I doubt anyone's going to read this, but I'm quite possibly the worst player in the world right now, or at least I feel like it. It's actually come to the point where I'm immensely close to quitting poker altogether and have to start thinking about my alternatives for making money. If you go through my posts for the past several months you'll see nothing but the same whining and losing that has perpetuated til now. I'm officially a break-even, if not losing, player after once being able to break 200nl on FTP for 5.5ptbb over 200k hands. I won't get into details, the gist of it can be found in my earlier posts. But basically

- Since I didn't post an august results thread, I'm probably down somewhere between 3k and 4k in August alone.
- I've effectively broken even starting March, which comes out to around 180k hands or so of breakeven. I would post a graph but hands prior to May have been lost, and I'm nowhere near my desktop right now which contains all my hands since then, bu feel free to peruse previous entries.
- I'm also in quite a bit of a financial situation, which means I need to cash out the remainder of my operating roll and possibly find a stake from my higher stakes friends.

Currently I'm in Japan on the vacation of my life (yes this trip did kinda contribute to my financial situation, I'm not making excuses or anything

) and have played a bunch of poker here on my off days and have been getting absolutely manhandled at 200 and 100nl.

This is kinda one giant whine entry now that I think about it, so I'll quit complaining. To wrap up, basically within a month I should be able to figure out whether or not I want to quit this game for good (because all the time wasted and emotional strain this game gives me is no good whatsoever for me, I'd rather focus on my other forms of income). For the time being, I'm effectively BUSTO! GL to me.

This happened to me too: a downswing during a period where I needed money (for a European trip ), but now I'm robusto and it feels great. Have some of your friends who are better players sweat you and make sure you're still playing winning poker. You know, usual stuff. But yeah, stop whining, stay honest, and stay confident.

Hey man try not to get too down about this. One thing I would suggest is taking a short but TOTAL break from the game to get yourself back into a positive mental state generally and come back with a fresh attitude. For me, if I feel down, I completely can not play this game. You have to feel as though you're going to win, as though you're a winner and as though the downswings don't matter because you know you're going to ride them through and start earning again. It sounds like you've just lost that attitude is all, so dw too much.

I don't really know you but I did read some of your blog posts before... I hope everything comes together for u whether u quit poker or stick at it.

fuck that busto thinking.. move down limits, and start grinding out mad hands.. rakeback can easily rebuild ur roll if your willing to log in the time.

yeah with a diff perspective, its really impossible to go busto if you take pride out of the picture. you'll be back in no time.

now that i think about it poker is one of the most addictive habits u can possibly get into. a good habit ($$$ as long as ur a winner) but still addictive. if u can walk away and quit it i still respect that since i dont think i could ever quit poker until im either married with kids, on hard drugs, or totally burnt out. but even if i was burnt out i'd be back soon enough =D

lol im not saying quit poker, im just saying it would be really hard to do, that would be so shit having to go back to a job where you have to stand up your entire shift

Thanks for all the supportive comments guys, I appreciate them.

The problem with micros is that I feel like my time is better spent elsewhere (focusing on school, focusing on some other business ventures), I also feel like I would probably be subject to emotional problems down there as well (because if i lose it's not hte money that matters but rather the fact that I can't even beat micro stakes), that in the end it's not worth the time and emotional frustration. Funny thing is I probably sound like a giant tilt monkey when in reality my tilt comes in the form of whining 24/7 AFTER i quit my session .
